Space is the last thing an event planner and an astronaut need in this charming new romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Samantha Young.
When event planner Hallie Goodman receives party-inspiration material from the bride of her latest wedding project, the last thing she expects to find in the files are digital videos from Darcy’s ex-boyfriend. Hallie knows it’s wrong to keep watching these personal videos, but this guy is cute, funny, and an astronaut on the International Space Station to boot. She’s only human. And it’s not long until she starts sending e-mails and video diaries to his discontinued NASA address. Since they’re bouncing back, there’s no way anyone will ever be able to see them...right?
Christopher Ortiz is readjusting to life on earth and being constantly in the shadow of his deceased older brother. When a friend from NASA’s IT department forwards him the e-mails and video messages Hallie has sent, he can’t help but notice how much her sense of humor and pink hair make his heart race.
Separated by screens, Hallie and Chris are falling in love with each other, one transmission at a time. But can they make their star-crossed romance work when they each learn the other’s baggage?

Samantha Young is by far one of my favorite authors, and she has been for a while now. So when I first read about her new upcoming book ‘A Cosmic Kind of Love’, I got super excited. For one.. it was a new book by Samantha, but secondly this was a romance about an astronaut! I don’t know about you, but I haven’t read any sort of romance novel about an astronaut. So when ‘A Cosmic Kind of Love’ finally arrived on my kindle, and I was able to start reading, I dived right in.

In ‘A Cosmic Kind of Love’ we meet Hallie Goodman. Hallie is an event planner who has had some bad luck in the boyfriend department lately. Now she is busy organizing the wedding of a rich New Yorker. For inspiration the bride sends Hallie an inspiration board, but accidentally she also sends Hallie private video messages from the Brides ex astronaut Christopher Ortiz.Christopher is trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life after returning home from his tour on the International Space Station. But how can he top this last job? Christopher is struggling, until one day he start receiving video messages from this pick haired lady.

This book was simple amazing. I loved it so much I couldn’t stop reading. Not only was the romance amazing and fun, more about that later, but the main character Hallie just became my best friend in the entire world. Hallie is just amazing. She is this pink haired, event planner who definitely is too good for the people around her. And I loved her. I mean definite girl crush moment here. In real-life, Hallie would totally be my go to girl. I could relate to her easily, I love love loved her job and I could totally understand her attraction to Christopher. Some of Hallie’s ‘awkward’ moments where simple hilarious and I just want to meet her!! LOL!!

And Hallie was not the only amazing character in this book. We get to read this story through both her and Christophers point of view and I loved that. Christopher is an astronaut, who only recently came back from his tour on the International Space Station. Not only is he very handsome, he also is just a very kind and good guy. And I loved him with Hallie.

The romance between Hallie and Christopher is a slow burn one, but definitely one with some very intense chemistry right from the start. I loved how Hallie and Christopher fall for each other. And I couldn’t put this book down, simple because I loved these characters so much.

‘A Cosmic Kind of Love’ is easily going on my favorite list this year. I had some high expectations about this one, but they where easily met. And I can’t recommend this book more. It was very original and entertaining.. and those characters?! Wow. Bravo Samantha.
