Adam Gibson is a
multimillionaire who is not searching for God–or demons–when he finds
love with a beautiful woman. Unfortunately, Rania, the one who has
captured his heart, has a tormented past. Adam is unaware of his powers,
how God makes sure his each prayer is heeded due to his virtue of
charity. Adam knows Rania is still the answer to all his silent prayers.
But now only time will tell if her soul is destined to be his once
again.

Rania Ahmed is dead inside. Adam, the man she mistakenly
considered to be her soul mate, has crushed her soul into millions of
pieces. Due to her broken past, she still believes her curse will keep
her from loving ever again. What she does not know is that Adam has made
a promise to himself to never give up on her–no matter what. But Adam
does not know what he is getting himself into.

In this spiritual
romance, an atheist embarks on a path of enlightenment with a tormented
soul who may just have the power to change everything he has ever
believed to be true.

My Review:

A view
months ago I read ‘A Silent Prayer’ by Samreen Ahsan. I was completely hooked
to that story and I just really loved it. So when Samreen Ahsan asked me to
read and review her second book in the series ‘A Prayer Heeded’ I was super
excited to read it. It took me a long while to start reading because I had so
many different books to read and review but this week I finally had the time to
start.
In ‘A
Prayer Heeded’ we start right where ‘A Silent Prayer’ ended. Rania is tormented
by her cruel past and has trouble trusting people. When Adam asked for her
friendship, Rania slowly began to feel more for him. But her horrible past is
making her life still very sad and hard.
Adam has
been in love with Rania from the very first moment he lay eyes on her. He knows
Rania has gone through something terrible in her past, so he gives Rania time
to trust him. But when Adam’s jealousy drives him to do something stupid, Rania
is heartbroken. Rania is convinced she and Adam aren’t meant for each other and
that she is cursed by an evil Egyptian jinni. But ever since meeting Rania,
Adam began to believe in God and he believes Rania and him are soul mates. And
Adam will do anything to make Rania happy and to forget her past.
I was
really excited to start reading ‘A Prayer Heeded’. Although I don’t believe in
God and aren’t religious at all, I loved the first book. So when I started
reading this second book I was really excited to read about Rania and Adam
again. I really didn’t want to stop reading because I just had to know what
would happen next. Unfortunately for me, somewhere in the middle of this book I
began to feel a little frustrated. The always stubborn and hurt Rania, suddenly
gave her heart and trust to Adam. For me this came really out of the blue. Like it was nothing! I felt like this just didn’t
fit the story. In the first book and the beginning of this book Rania wasn’t able
to trust easily and in one moment she suddenly just changed her mind. I just didn’t
find that part very believable.
What I
also found a little frustrating about this book was there was really a lot
about Jinni’s and God and stuff from the bible. I just don’t believe in that
kind of stuff and I found it a little strange that an atheist like Adam could
change into this fulltime believer in God and Angels in just a short while. Don’t
get me wrong, I don’t mind reading books about people who believe in God. I
mean the first book was also filled with stuff about God, but now with the
Jinni’s and talking to God.. I just lost interest.
Although
this book wasn’t what I hoped for, I’m still glad I read it. I’m very glad I
know how the story of Rania and Adam continued. The romance between them is
very nice and enchanting to read and I loved these characters.  I think this book is a great read for people
who like romance novels and believe in God. It just wasn’t one for me.

About the Author:

History, art and literature are my passions. I love digging out
information about prophecies, divine miracles and paranormal events that are
mentioned in history and holy books, that don’t sound possible in today’s
modern world.

Since childhood, I have been into reading and writing—and yes, it can’t happen
without imagination, which luckily has no boundaries. Dance and music are also
pastimes I enjoy, as well as reading romance fiction. I love to travel and
explore historical cities.

“A Prayer Series” is my first story about paranormal events based on
Islamic concepts.
