four-stars

Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.
Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.

After devouring the first three books in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, I obviously also had to read ‘A Court of Frost and Starlight’. So when I had some time, I started reading right away.

In ‘A Court of Frost and Starlight’ we continue right where A Court of Wings and Ruin ended. Feyre and Rhysand are busy rebuilding their court and working on their relationships with the neighboring courts. But in the midst of all the rebuilding, they are also trying to spend time together and being with their friends and family.

‘A Court of Frost and Starlight’ was a perfect little treat after reading the first three books. It’s a short novel, and it’s about the weeks after the war has ended and they are working on rebuilding their lives. It’s a breath of fresh air after all the war, and anxious moments in the previous books. I loved how we got to read different point of views. And how we got to be with Feyre, Rhysand and their friends in a time of celebrations instead of being surrounded by blood and war.

This book was short, but very enjoyable and it made me even more excited about reading book four. It felt like a treat reading this one honestly.
