Christopher

I came from the biggest hockey family in the NHL.
Records were set by my grandfather, my father, and now my brother.
I was taught to love the game, but more than that, I learned early the men you play with are your family.
You get on the ice every night and protect them, celebrate the wins, and pick each other up when you fall.
So when we lost Benji, I stepped in to help his wife and kids, but this pull I feel when it comes to them is something more than I can even understand.

Dakota

My life was perfect, until it wasn’t.
Gone was the husband I thought I knew and in his place was a stranger.
I saw him change before my eyes.
Then he was gone, leaving me and our girls alone.
I wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything that took him away from me.
But no matter how many times I’ve told his best friend I don’t need help.
He’s here doing things for us, and the worst part is, I want him to.

‘Meant For Her’ was my first read by Natasha Madison. I love sports romances, so when Natasha asked me to read an ARC of her new book I was so excited. So when the book arrived on my kindle a few days ago I started reading right away.

‘Meant For Her’ was right from the start a book that grabbed my attention. We read this story through both Dakota and Christopher’s point of view. And Dakota’s character was one I loved right away. She was a mom who would have done anything for her kids. So when her husband sadly passes away, and she learns the truth about him, she is determined to make sure her girls are okay and only hear the good stuff about their dad.

Christopher is her husbands best friend, and he was there for her right from the start. And throughout the upcoming months, Dakota and Christopher get closer. There is an attraction between them, that was so fun to read about. I loved the way Christopher  wanted to take care of Dakota and her girls. Dakota didn’t make it easy for him, but he never stopped doing all that he could. The romance was sweet and I loved it.

The friendship between Christopher and Dakota’s husband was one I didn’t really understand. How could Christopher not know about everything Dakota’s husband was putting her through? Especially, since they where supposedly so close. But since I enjoyed the rest of the book so much, this part didn’t bother me too much.

Next to the romance between Dakota and Christopher, we get to read about Christopher’s Hockey team and his family. And it really made me want to read more about these characters. I feel like there is still so much I don’t know. In a good way! And I can’t wait to read more by Natasha Madison.
