It’s been nearly a decade since Tarzan (Alexander
Skarsgård), also known as John Clayton III, left Africa to live in Victorian
England with his wife Jane. Danger lurks on the horizon as Leon Rom (Christoph
Waltz), a treacherous envoy for King Leopold, devises a scheme that lures the
couple to the Congo. Rom plans to capture Tarzan and deliver
him to an old enemy in exchange for diamonds. When Jane becomes a pawn in his

My Recap:

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a fan of the
story of Tarzan. I watched many movies about Tarzan. It doesn’t matter how many
movies I see, I still always love the story of Tarzan. So when I saw the
trailer of ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ a view months ago I just knew I had to see
this movie. This Saturday I finally went to see it.

The beginning of ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ was a little
slow. I did not realize before I went to see this movie, that this movie would
be about the life of Tarzan after he found Jane and started to live with humans
again. This took some getting used to. Thankfully for me, I soon forgot about
all the previous Tarzan movies and started to enjoy this movie.
Let’s start by the main characters. Alexander Skarsgard
really was a great Tarzan. I loved the way he looked and talked totally fitting
his role. He was definitely sexy, but above all he really portrayed his
character in a way I could believe he really was Tarzan. The way he looked at the
animals, the way he walked in the jungle. I was definitely impressed.
There was also a very nice chemistry between Alexander
and Margot Robbie, who played Jane. I totally loved them together.
But the character I loved most in this movie was
definitely George Washington Williams, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Boy did he
do a great job. I really loved watching him in this movie. He was funny, brave
and he really gave this movie something extra.

The special effects and the locations this movie was set
in, where really good. It was really beautiful to see the landscapes. And I think
they did a great job with making the animals as realistic as possible.

This movie is different than the other Tarzan movies. But
I really, really loved it. There was a lot happening,  and the rest of the movie totally made up for
the slow start.
I’m going to see this movie again, for sure!
