Two tiny lines that change everything… Doctor James Tanner is gorgeous, successful and decisively single. He’s also a widower with a broken heart. So when he meets a beautiful woman on a fateful night out, their chemistry shocks him to the core. Harper Hayes is irresistible. With her pink-tipped hair and tantalizing smile, she makes him forget all his pain. One night together won’t hurt, will it? One night to get her out of his system. Then he’ll leave in the morning without a backward glance. But actions have consequences, and this one will change both their lives forever. And when Harper sees those two little lines she knows exactly what that means. Now she just needs to find the unforgettable man who left her alone in bed after their one night together. What a shame she doesn’t even know his name…

I’ve loved every book I read by Carrie Elks so far. So to say that I had high expectations of ‘Baby I’m Yours’ is an understatement. After reading the previous books in the Angel Sands series, I was super excited to read the story of Harper. So when I was able to start reading, I simple couldn’t wait and started as soon as possible.

In ‘Baby I’m Yours’ we follow the story of Harper and James. After Harper gets fired from her new job in L.A, she doesn’t know what to do. To cheer her up, her best friend invites her to spend some time in Angel Sands, and to come with her to the party of the year. At that party Harper meets this handsome, charming guy who makes her forget about all her troubles. But when she wakes up after a perfect night together, she finds him gone. Harper is sad but excited to get on with her life.

James has been through the unimaginable. He lost his wife and baby boy three years ago. Since that day he has thrown himself inside his job, trying to forget all the bad things. When one night, his friend convinces him to come to a party he doesn’t expect to enjoy himself. But when he lays eyes on Harper he simple can’t look away.

I loved every book in the Angels Sands series so far. But this book completely blew my mind. I seriously loved it so much and I couldn’t stop reading until I read every page. Carrie Elks was able to write two characters that are so ‘real’ that I can totally imagine them being two real people. Both Harper and James have had a hard time. And when they meet they have no plans or reasons to think life will get better soon. But meeting each other will change everything. And I loved getting to read their story.

And all those emotions!! I don’t know if it’s because I’m a mom myself, but this book made me cry.. Yes, actual real tears several times!! James lost his son!! I can’t imagine. And I cried right along with him! (Really, Carrie? Couldn’t you have warned me?! ) And the whole romance between James and Harper was just so good and it gave me all the butterflies.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the fact it ended! I mean: WOW!! The setting of Angel Sands is just as good as in the previous books. And I loved the fact we get to read little bits about the previous characters in this series too.

‘Baby I’m Yours’ was a great read, I simple couldn’t put down! When I read there would be more books in this series I was so excited. I can’t wait to read more stories set in Angel Sands.

Check out my reviews of the previous books in this series:

Carrie Elks writes contemporary romance with a sizzling edge. Her first book, Fix You, has been translated into eight languages and made a surprise appearance on Big Brother in Brazil. Luckily for her, it wasn’t voted out. Carrie lives with her husband, two lovely children and a larger-than-life black pug called Plato. When she isn’t writing or reading, she can be found baking, drinking an occasional (!) glass of wine, or chatting on social media. For more information about Carrie please visit her website. Or visit her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also join her Facebook Group and sign up for her newsletter.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
