It was the friends-with-benefits proposition he never saw coming…
While Arran Adair might have followed the call of wanderlust in his younger years, it isn’t the reason he stayed away from Ardnoch. Home now, desperate to put the sins of his past behind him, and rebuild his life in the Scottish Highlands, Arran could never have predicted Eredine Willows. The Ardnoch Estate Pilates instructor is a complicated mystery and one Arran can’t help but want to solve.
Eredine has spent the last eight years hiding in Scotland and building walls between her and the people she cares about. Arran is the first Adair who doesn’t treat her as if she’s fragile and demands a genuine friendship. Yet, the attraction sizzling between them is undeniable. So when she realizes she trusts him, Eredine surprises them both by offering Arran one night of no-strings passion.
Arran knows one night will inevitably lead to a desire for more and he’s willing to stay by Eredine’s side for as long as it takes to convince her there’s something real between them. However, just when Arran thinks they might build a future together, Eredine’s past returns to stalk her. And Arran won’t just have to battle her demons to keep them together. He’ll need to battle his own.

After devouring the first three books in the Adair Family series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on ‘Be With Me’. So when I received the ARC, I dropped pretty much everything I was doing (except for my kids off course :P) and started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘Be With Me’ we meet Arran and Eredine. Arran is the youngest Adair brother, and growing up he was the one who definitely used his looks and fun character to get what he wanted. He played around a lot, and travelled the world. But when things end up going terrible wrong, he decides to come home. When he meets Eredine, his world changes yet again. But Eredine is not the kind of woman you get close to easily. Eredine has a lot of scars you can’t see. And she keeps her distance from people. Especially man. But Arran is determined to get closer to her, and prove that he changed his ways.

To say I was curious about reading Eredine and Arran’s story, is an understatement. I was so curious about Eredine, from the moment I read about her in the first book in this series. So when I was finally able to start reading this book I was both anxious and excited. And luckily for me it didn’t disappoint one bit.

Eredine is the kind of character you just know is going to make things emotional. And learning her story was definitely emotional. I was sad and excited to finally read her story. Her character was so kind, brave and fun at the same time. I loved getting to know her better, and reading how she slowly let Arran get closer. I was more than impressed by her and definitely loved her story.

Arran’s character to me can only be described as fun. He was one of the two Adair brothers we still know little about, even after reading the previous books. And I loved every moment of getting to know him. He was always the fun brother who just seemed to play around a lot. But from the moment he met Eredine everything changed for him. And it definitely made for some great, entertaining and swoon-worthy moments.

The best thing about this series to me, is the fact we still read about the other Adair siblings we got to know in the previous books. Although you could read this book as a standalone, I’d definitely recommend starting with book one.
