Emma

Since the man I thought I would be walking down the aisle with broke up with me, I've been focused on my business.

As the designer of Emma Belle Bridal Gowns, headlining the Blushing Bride Convention in Las Vegas has been the highlight of my year. And the legendary editor of The Dress magazine wants to feature me in their upcoming issue?

A dream come true.

And it's my birthday! Nothing can get me down...except maybe my ex's engagement splashed across social media.

What's a girl to do other than drink a truck load of champagne and see a male revue show?

When a dancer pulls me up on stage, the chemistry between us is undeniable.

Forget holy matrimony, I'm going to lower my expectations for one night.

One night that just may last forever.

Griffin

One last night...

After twelve years raising my baby sister, Sophie, and dancing for Las Vegas's top male revue in order to pay bills and ensure she graduates college, I'm ready to hang up my tearaway pants and start a new life.

My intentions were to protect Emma, a captivating and tipsy woman at the show, from doing something she regrets. With chemistry neither of us can deny, the night takes an unexpected turn and we find ourselves waking up married.

It happens. We'll correct our mistakes and move on.

But with a viral wedding video, our nuptials end up on Page Six, and Emma needs me in New York to play the part of doting new husband for a career-boosting interview.

I'll play the part, do what she asks, then we'll part ways.

Emma's smart, enchanting and beautiful...and completely unexpected.

But right now, I have nothing to offer a woman like her, let alone forever.

Last year I read ‘Reluctantly Yours’ by Erin Hawkins. It was my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. So obviously, when I saw the sign up of ‘Unexpectedly Mine’, I knew I wanted to read this book as well.

In ‘Unexpectedly Mine’ we read the story of Emma and Griffin. Emma recently broke up with the guy she thought she was going to marry and now it is time for her to do something fun and different. Before she can really think about it, Emma finds herself at a male revue show. The last thing she expected was to be pulled on stage by this handsome dancer. Emma immediately finds herself enchanted by Griffin, and the chemistry between them is undeniable.

Emma and Griffin share a fun night together, and end up getting married. It is Vegas after all! Before they find the time to get to know each other better, or to get an annulment, someone shares their marriage video. And soon Griffin goes with Emma to pretend to be her loving husband to help her boost her career. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is for them to deny their chemistry.

‘Unexpectedly Mine’ was a fun story I definitely enjoyed. Mostly because of the intense chemistry between Emma and Griffin, but also because I found the story line pretty unique. A male revue dancer, and a wedding dress designer. I’ve never read anything like that, and I loved getting to know them.

My favorite character was definitely Griffin. I loved how he was this handsome, sexy guy, but was most of all very responsible. Sure he was a male revue dancer at night, but during the day he studied and worked his butt off. He took care of his baby sister, and never really did anything for himself. Reading his point of view in this book was my absolute favorite and I definitely couldn’t enough of him.

‘Unexpectedly Mine’ had a slow-burn element that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. I was so sure things would heat up between these two, and it did, but not in the way you would expect. And I loved that.

Overall ‘Unexpectedly Mine’ was a very enjoyable read. The beginning could have moved a little bit faster, but in the end it didn’t bother me that much.
