Chasing Romeo (Soul Mates in Romeo, #1)

Much Ado About You

Those who know me, already know I’m a big Samantha Young fan. I love all her books, and I’ve read a lot of them these last few years. And now I’m lucky enough to be on her ARC team. So when I received the ARC for ‘Much Ado About You’ I got super excited and started reading as soon as I could.

In ‘Much Ado About You’ we meet thirty three year old Evie. Evie is done with men and dating, after her last date disaster. And when she doesn’t get the job offer she worked so hard for, she decides it’s time to get away for a while. So when she looks up possible trips to England, and sees the opportunity of a life time: an apartment for four weeks including running a small town bookstore, she can’t resist and books immediately. Soon Evie is in England, and she instantly loves the little town and it’s residents. And especially Roane Robson, the handsome farmer she meets soon after arriving and who makes everything more fun.

This book was something else, really! I mean Roane Robson.. OMG!! That guy ruined me!! From the moment Evie met Roane, I simple loved that guy. He was handsome, honest, fun and caring. And although he knew he is a handsome guy, he really doesn’t want people to be interested in him just for his looks. And right from the moment he meets Evie, it’s clear he likes her. And I loved reading how he did his best, to make Evie like him too.

And yes, I also loved Evie’s character. I would definitely like to be friends with her. She loves books, loves Shakespeare, and is now running a bookstore. As a reader and book blogger.. What’s not to like about her? And don’t even get me started about the chemistry between Evie and Roane! It was definitely something you could feel coming of the pages. And I loved every slow burning moment between them.

This book was 380 pages long, and I read it in only a day. I read way past my bed time, because I just couldn’t put it down. I loved the main characters, I loved the small England town and it’s residents and I loved the whole idea of this Much Ado About Books bookstore. And can you believe there is such a Bookstore/apartment renting concept in Scotland? I loved that Samantha was inspired by that bookstore, and wrote this beauty of a book.

‘Much Ado About You’ is a great romantic, entertaining, fun read I loved from start to finish. And I’d really recommend it!!

Lizzy Goes Brains Over Braun (Billionaire Baby Club #1)

Lizzy Goes Brains Over Braun (Billionaire Baby Club #1)

After reading a lot of Contemporary Romance lately, I loved the idea of reading a Romantic Comedy. So when I read the book description of ‘Lizzy Goes Brains Over Braun’ I thought this was a book I definitely needed to check out. So when I got approved to read an ARC, I got super excited and started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘Lizzy Goes Brains Over Braun’ we meet successful business woman Lizzy. Lizzy is celebrating her fortieth birthday with her best friends, and colleagues at a bar. There is a lot of alcohol going around, and Lizzy and her friends have the best night. But becoming forty also makes you think about your life and the things you achieved. And Lizzy realizes she really would like to become a mom, but without the complication of being in a relationship. What Lizzy didn’t think would happen was that one of her friends actually would post an ad in a newspaper: ‘Beautiful, successful single woman, 40, seeks attractive male billionaire to impregnate her the old fashioned way. No strings. NOT seeking sugar daddy. Validation required. Serious inquiries only, please.’ But when a guy named Braun replies to the ad, she finds herself curious about him.

Well, this book was definitely not what I expected. Although I don’t really know what I expected to be honest. This book is definitely ‘fun’, in the way Lizzy interacts with her friends. Their banters and bar adventures are definitely funny and it makes you want to have friends like that too. But there is also a lot of sex in this book. A lot of talk about sex, and a lot of actual sex. And I didn’t expect that, and in the first half of the book I honestly thought there was way to much sex for my liking. I missed the romance, and the ‘storyline’ to be honest.

But, when I got half way through the book.. the story developed and Lizzy became a much more likeable character for me, and their was more romance. And I really started to enjoy this story more and more. Their also wasn’t as much detailed sex as in the beginning, which I liked way more.

And well.. Braun’s character made up for a lot if you ask me. I loved him. Braun was this rich, geeky guy who definitely was way to kind. And, hold your breath, he speaks LOTR elvish (among many other languages!). Yes.. my geek heart was definitely in love with this guy.

Although the whole idea of a an ad to which billionaires respond to, sounds a little crazy to me, it made for a funny story. In the end I read this book in two evenings, so I definitely can say I enjoyed it. And it made me curious about Lizzy’s friends for sure. And.. I love this cover!!

The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée

The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée

I absolutely love romance novels. Especially in this time of Corona and not being able to go anywhere. Romance makes me feel so much better, and I can completely lose myself in my books. So when I saw this romantic comedy , by an author I hadn’t read before, I couldn’t resist. And when I was able to start reading, I dived right in.

In ‘The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée’ we meet Tabitha. Tabitha is an hairdresser who goes through life trying to make something positive and good from every day. She is eccentric, fun, has a lot of humor, and a big soap opera addiction. And her favorite time of the week is Friday night, when she does the hair of Billionaire Rex. Rex is a workaholic, and definitely the opposite of Tabitha. People probably would describe him as a jerk. So when Rex needs to find a fake fiancée, who he can’t get attracted too, Tabitha sounds like the perfect match.

I was looking for something fun to read, and I definitely got it with ‘The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée’. I started laughing out loud several times while reading this book. I mean this book was just so damn good. Tabitha’s character is unlike any I read before, and I loved her.  She was just so fun. And she tried to make the best of everything. She was definitely the only one who stood up to Rex, and was able to make him smile.

The chemistry between Tabitha and Rex was definitely intense from the moment they met. But they both had their issues, and I just loved how they slowly got closer and closer. The romance between them was definitely good enough to give me butterflies. And I was rooting for them from the start.

The whole soap opera thing was also definitely funny. Although I haven’t see a real soap opera in a long time, I could easily picture Tabitha and Rex sitting on a couch with the tv on watching Days of Our Lives. LOL!!

This was my first Annika Martin novel, and I really enjoyed it. This book was really funny, romantic and overall just a very fun, relaxing read. I’d definitely recommend it.

Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy

In the last view months I’ve read several Max Monroe novels. And I laughed, loved and adored all of them. So obviously I couldn’t not try to get my hands on a copy and was super excited to receive an ARC.

In ‘Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy’ we meet Billie, a wannabe movie producer, living in Hollywood. It has been her dream for a long time, to become a producer. So she shadow’s one of Hollywood’s bests producers with the hope of one day getting the chance to become the best herself. In a battle to be her boss’s best employer she announces she knows notorious and famous Hollywood star Luca Weaver, and can get him to act in her new movie. The only problem is, the guy hasn’t been seen in public in years and Billie definitely doesn’t know him.

This book was from the start another funny and great read. I loved it. Billie is this fun, hard working woman who is known to sometimes say stuff before she really things them through. And claiming to know a famous ‘missing’ author is definitely something she hasn’t thought long and hard about. But I loved how strong willed and determined Billie was. Even if everything sounded impossible, she would try everything before giving up.

A big part of this book takes place in Alaska and it was so much fun letting my mind wonder about that beautiful part of nature. Luca has been living in a cabin deep in the woods for almost 8 years. And the last thing he expects is finding a blond beautiful woman, who seems to not enjoy nature that much, on his property. The conversations between Billie and Luca where from the start so fun to read. I loved how these two interacted with each other and the setting of Alaska was just very enjoyable.

The chemistry between Billie and Luca was my favorite part of this book. It was flying of the pages, and I just couldn’t get enough of them. Although Luca seemed like this horrible guy, there was so much more to him and his story and I just adored him.

And yes, this book was definitely making me laugh out loud again several times. It was just so much fun to read this book, I simple couldn’t stop. It was like I was witnessing Billie and Luca’s story in real life and I just had to know what was going to happen next. Max Monroe definitely always delivers in the Romance and Humor department.

‘Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy’ is another great read. Perfect for making you swoon and laugh.
