I absolutely love romance novels. Especially in this time of Corona and not being able to go anywhere. Romance makes me feel so much better, and I can completely lose myself in my books. So when I saw this romantic comedy , by an author I hadn’t read before, I couldn’t resist. And when I was able to start reading, I dived right in.

I'm no Prince Charming, and the last thing I want is a Cinderella. My instructions were simple: scour the city for a fake fiancée who's not my type at all. Have her on my jet Monday morning, dressed appropriately for a yacht vacation. I need a woman believable enough to convince a certain client that I've changed my playboy ways…yet nothing like the supermodels and socialites I usually have on my arm. Somebody too annoying to tempt me—no emotional entanglements, thank you very much. This is business only. If she's unfazed by my looks and wealth, all the better. Should be easy. Right? Apparently not, because my people go and hire Tabitha. My hairdresser. What were they thinking? Yes, I said annoying, but I didn't mean her, the most frustrating woman in the world. Tabitha is sunshiny. She has a pet hamster. She loves Hello Kitty, and she gets under my skin like nobody else. As if that's not bad enough, the minute we step on deck, she thinks that certain people on the yacht are up to something shady—based completely on her soap opera knowledge. She won't listen when I tell her she’s being ridiculous. But as the days go by, I find that we’re actually having fun. And our fake kisses are heating up. And suddenly her wild theories aren't sounding so strange after all…

In ‘The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée’ we meet Tabitha. Tabitha is an hairdresser who goes through life trying to make something positive and good from every day. She is eccentric, fun, has a lot of humor, and a big soap opera addiction. And her favorite time of the week is Friday night, when she does the hair of Billionaire Rex. Rex is a workaholic, and definitely the opposite of Tabitha. People probably would describe him as a jerk. So when Rex needs to find a fake fiancée, who he can’t get attracted too, Tabitha sounds like the perfect match.

I was looking for something fun to read, and I definitely got it with ‘The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée’. I started laughing out loud several times while reading this book. I mean this book was just so damn good. Tabitha’s character is unlike any I read before, and I loved her.  She was just so fun. And she tried to make the best of everything. She was definitely the only one who stood up to Rex, and was able to make him smile.

The chemistry between Tabitha and Rex was definitely intense from the moment they met. But they both had their issues, and I just loved how they slowly got closer and closer. The romance between them was definitely good enough to give me butterflies. And I was rooting for them from the start.

The whole soap opera thing was also definitely funny. Although I haven’t see a real soap opera in a long time, I could easily picture Tabitha and Rex sitting on a couch with the tv on watching Days of Our Lives. LOL!!

This was my first Annika Martin novel, and I really enjoyed it. This book was really funny, romantic and overall just a very fun, relaxing read. I’d definitely recommend it.
