Sometimes moving on means moving in…
Pixie Marshall’s freshman year of college ended two weeks
ago, as did her residence in the school dorms. Which means she’s in need of a
new place to live and, subsequently, a job. She started working at Willow Inn
because one of the job perks-and she’d use that term loosely-is free room and board.
But what she hadn’t realized is that her free room shares a hallway and a
bathroom with the only person she was hoping to avoid for the rest of her life:
Levi Andrews. As in: Hot guy. Handyman. Keeper of all her painful memories.
Once upon a time, they were best friends on the brink of
being something more, but that was before everything went to hell. All Pixie
wants to do now is avoid him completely, which might be more harder than she
thought. Because despite everything that happened before, Levi hasn’t let go of
his feelings for her either.

My Review:

When I first laid eyes on ‘Best Kind Of Broken’ after I
found it in my mailbox I was immediately excited and I wanted to start reading
at once. I’ve heard about the Finding fate series but haven’t been able to read
a book in this series before. So when I found a copy in my mailbox, from the
Little, Brown Book Group in exchange for my honest review I couldn’t be
happier.
The cover is very beautiful. Nothing to fancy, simple but
beautiful. I expected a lot from this book. Since I heard of this series before
and I saw a view reviews on Goodreads. But most times when I have high
expectations I get disappointed. So I was a little afraid this book wouldn’t be
as good as I hoped. Thankfully, this book wasn’t disappointing at all. This
book was perfect.
In ‘Best Kind Of Broken’ we meet Pixie and Levi, two
broken twenty year olds. Pixie and Levi have known each other for many many
years. But now they aren’t speaking to each other. There’s too much pain and
too much history there. From the moment this book starts you can feel the
chemistry between Pixie and Levi. But there seems to be a lot of history, and
the bad thing is we, as readers, have no idea what the problem is. And believe
me Chelsea Fine did an amazing job with keeping you anxious to know what
happened a year ago. I think I honestly thought of everything. But since Pixie
and Levi aren’t on speaking terms, we have to wait a long time to learn about what
the real problem is.
From the moment I started reading ‘Best Kind Of Broken’ I
just couldn’t stop. I read it in one afternoon. I just had to keep reading.
There is so much chemistry between Pixie and Levi and I just really loved them.
What I loved most about this book was the way Chelsea wrote about the present
life of Pixie and Levi, but we also read about stuff from there past. I loved
reading about their past. Pixie and Levi really grew up together and it really
made me want to scream at times when I read about the ways Levi protected Pixie
throughout their childhood. They were just so damn cute.
Honestly, I can’t think of anything bad about this book.
‘Best Kind Of Broken’ is a beautiful story about love and loss and it’s a book
that really makes you feel all kind of emotions. I just couldn’t have enough of
this story and was really sad when I finished it. This book definitely gets my
recommendation.

My Rating:

Praise for ‘Best Kind of Broken’:

You’ll fall for
Pixie and Levi, just like I did.

Eloquently
written, Fine’s story has a way of makinge ven the most minor characters leap
off the page.

This book
destroyed me. Tore me into little tiny pieces. But somehow, with lots of tape,
some laughs and some very steamy times, put me back together. Chelsea Fine’s
style is witty, visceral and fresh. All I wanted to do was crawl inside this
book and live with the characters. And now all I want is MORE. And my own
Leaves. And some paint. And a thunderstorm . . .
