This week was one of high’s and lows. On Monday my mom and I had a fun day with both kids, since our little girl had a day off from school. In the evening my mom and I went to a concert of Cian Ducrot. It was amazing! I first saw him in Amsterdam in February/March and I really want to see him perform again. I loved it!
When I got home late that night our little boy got some kind of stomach bug and started puking and pooping. It was a rough night with a lot of changing the bed. Poor little guy. I ended up working from home that day, and fortunately on Wednesday he was all better again.
At the end of Thursday our little guy got a fever, and on Friday he was having these huge tantrums. He definitely wasn’t feeling like himself so we stayed home as much as possible (between school runs and playdates for our girl.)
Than to highs of this week.. This week I achieved my Goodreads challenge goal of reading 100 books. Totally not very important but it made me happy!. I also finally got Iron Flame in the mail, and started reading yesterday!

Definitely sounds like some highs and lows! Feel so sorry for your little guy! That kind of sick is never fun! But glad to hear he’s doing better! Congrats on meeting your Goodreads goal! That’s always relieving I feel like…even though we set the goals ourselves! Lol!
Nice new reads! I picked up Iron Flame as well but honestly haven’t decided when to read it! I like to reserve the wonderfully big and fat books for times when I can read more…right now I’ve a week at Christmastime so I’m looking at many big fat books for that week! Lol!
I did get my copy of Caraval from you this week! Thank you again for all of your help! It’s so pretty and I love it! Thank you again!!!

Urg! I always hate it when the children are ill – even though they are now so much older… But it especially sucks when it’s a stomach upset:(. I’ve promised myself the audiobook of Iron Flame – and keep forgetting to get hold of it. So I need to do that this week:). Have a better week, Maureen.

I’m so sorry to hear about the lows of your week. Dealing with a sick child is NEVER fun. Poor little guy. Hopefully he’s feeling better.

OMG you saw Cian????? I’m so jealous!!!! Every time one of his videos singing “I’ll Be Waiting” with a choir in random places comes on my TikTok FYP I have to watch it like 3 times. Never gets old. How do those people just sit there ignorning him or looking bored or annoyed??? I would die of joy if he showed up on my subway platform. LOL

It seems like little ones pick up so many bugs. Poor guy! I hope to start listening to Iron Flame later this week with my husband. We both loved the audio of Fourth Wing. I just finished a Courtney Walsh (Happy Life of Isadora Bentley) and really enjoyed it. I’ll check out A Cross Country Christmas. It looks fun! Hope you have a healthy, happy week!
