Aug
week I had a little Sunday Post break. Not for any particular reason really. I
had been home from work a view days last week because I had this terrible
headache and I just needed the weekend to relax and hang. So I did.
Last week
we finally got our Scooter. We bought it almost eight weeks ago but they messed
up at the shop, and it took twice as long to finally get the Scooter home. But
now it finally is here and I’ve been going to work with it for four days now.
It’s great! I’m still getting used to it a little, but I’m loving it so far. We
bought is mostly because I was getting sick and tired of standing in the
traffic jams every day after work. But is also saves us money since I don’t
have to pay as much for parking and fuel. And it just feels good being outside
and not inside my car every single day. It’s a 40 minute drive to and from work
with the Scooter. With all those traffic jams, it used to take me an hour and
half to get home with our car during the week. So this is so much better! I’m
happy! 😀
and I caught up on Game of Thrones this week! Ow boy… I’m loving and hating
every minute of that show. Loving it because it’s just so good and I love those
characters and their drama. And hating it because I just never want this show
to end and I’ve got a feeling my heart will break when the final episode is
here.
wise my weekly meme ‘My Favorite..’ has been growing some more participants and
I’m loving it. It just so fun to read about everyone’s favorites.
a little behind on my reading, but I’m working hard to catch up. 🙂
are you guys doing? What are you reading at the moment? Do you watch GOT?

Congrats on the scooter! 40 mins definitely beats a hour and a half! And I'm kinda bummed that this week is the GoT finale, although it should be pretty good?
Secrets in death (love that cover) and the Krentz book look promising. Have a super week!
Thanks Greg. I'm bummed too, but also excited. What will we do after the finale? I think I'm going to rewatch the series. And I still want to read the books 😀
Have a great week and happy reading!
That scooter is too cute, and a great idea. Have a great week 🙂
Thanks Maree. I'm really happy with it 😀
Have a great week and happy reading.
Love the meme! The Scooter sounds like a blast and the shortened commute has got to be nicer. Have a lovely week!
Thanks Kimberly. It's definitely super nice to be able to go to work with the scooter. It just saves so much time.
Have a great week and happy reading.
I'm having my eyes open for you Harry Potter review that's coming up!
So great that you're growing followers, keep up the nice posts 🙂
Ah thanks. I hope you'll like my review.;)
Have a great week and happy reading.
I hope your headache is all gone now, Maureen!
You look good on your scooter, remember to be careful on the road, some drivers don't check their mirrors enough when they switch lanes.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

My headache is much better thankfully.
And I'll definitely be careful Lexxie. I don't want to end up lying on my own nursing department! LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading.
Zipping in and out of work on your scooter sounds so much more run than sitting in a traffic jam. And it looks so cool too! Enjoy your new books and have a good week Maureen.
Thanks Trish. And it feels so good to just be outside and getting some fresh air. I never really got that when I went to work with my car for the last six years.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Your scooter looks cool! Congrats 🙂
Oh, I didn't know that meme of yours. I will check it out 🙂 I'm also starting a new link-up meme this week. More about it in my Sunday post 🙂
Have a great reading week!
Thanks. I'm super happy with it.
I'll be looking into your new meme. Memes are so much fun.
Have a great week and happy reading.
I enjoyed When All the Girls Have Gone…I like your cover better than mine!
Enjoy your scooter…anything that gets you where you're going quicker…can only be a good thing. Except I would worry about accidents, etc. But that's me.
Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I'm really excited to start reading When All The Girls Have Gone. I've read some great stuff about it, and I love Jayne Ann Krentz.
Have a great week and happy reading.
I've been putting off continuing with GOT because I never finished A Feast For Crows (plus I don't have cable) but I'm dying to see what everyone is so excited about with this season!
Have a great week! 🙂
Stacy Renee @ Lazy Day Literature
I never started the books. But I really want to someday. I've already got the first book! 😀 I hope you get to see it soon.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Love the photo of you on your scooter! What a difference in your commute! I can see why you'd prefer to be in the scooter.
I am looking forward to reading When All the Girls Have Gone. It looks like it will be good.
I hope you have a great week, Maureen!
Thanks. It definitely saves me so much time. And it's really nice to be more in outside and smell that fresh air 😀
I'm really excited to start reading When All The Girls Have Gone.
Have a great week and happy reading!
That scooter is a great buy! I wish I could do the same, but I travel so far each day to and from work through back country roads, I'm safer in my car. I can't believe how much time you're saving on your commute now! Cutting it in half! That's amazing! I hope the headache is long gone and you're feeling better.
Yes, driving with a scooter really isn't for everyone. If I wasn't able to drive savely because of the roads, I wouldn't do it either. And in the Winter I'll probably won't be able to do it as much either. But for now it's great.
Have a great week and happy reading.
