I don’t even know what to tell you guys about this week. This week has been all about our little girls runny nose. Why you ask? Well, she has had a runny nose, like probably every little kid, almost once a month. Now, due to Corona a kid with a runny nose isn’t allowed at daycare. And I definitely get why.. But now she had a runny nose while both me and my husband had to work. So I had to go and pick her up on Friday. Which isn’t a huge deal.. but it is frustrating because she loves being at the day care so much and I had to leave work right in the middle of a shift. Just to be save I’ve tried to trade my shift on the upcoming Monday for one in next weekend, so she doesn’t have to got to daycare. Sigh.. It’s definitely complicated.
I got myself a new planner and I love it so much. (Here is the link if you guys want to check it out.) It’s a planner you can start whenever you want because you have to write the date yourself. And it’s filled with space for your thoughts, to do lists and goals. I love it.
This Tuesday is our 3 year wedding anniversary (and thirteen years since our first date), so far I have no idea what to do to make it special. My husband forgot to get an off day from his work, and we don’t have a sitter or a place to go.. So I think we just open up a nice bottle of wine and skip the rest for next year.

Oh no sorry to hear about the little one- hope her nose is doing better. that would definitely be hard!
Happy anniversary! Hope you guys have an awesome one (and enjoy the wine)! 🙂
Thanks Greg. We’ll definitely try to make the best of it.
Happy reading.
Aw I am sorry to hear about your little girl’s running nose and the difficulties you have had with childcare for her because of it. Everything is just that little bit harder at the minute isn’t it?! I hope she is all better soon and can go back to her day care she enjoys so much. And happy 3rd wedding anniversary! It might have to be a quiet one, but a nice night in with a bottle of wine still sounds pretty good to me. 😊
I hope the coming week is a good one, take care and happy reading! 🙂
It really keeps getting harder to manage things. As as nurse, not a lot has changed since the start of the pandamic. But now that things are slowly starting back up.. daycare is starting to get more busy, and people are going back to work.. We don’t have a lot of options for getting help with our girl. Especially with all these rules.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading.
Happy anniversary. Yes, I vote for staying in with a bottle and ordering in, if that is possible. I hope your kid is feeling better now.
Thank you Gayathri. Happy reading.
Day care and childcare issues are so tricky right now. I hope the runny nose clears up over the weekend and she can return to day care with no issues. Happy anniversary to you! Hope you enjoy that bottle of wine. 🙂 My anniversary was last month. We had to cancel the trip we had planned (obviously) and didn’t do much otherwise (got take-out dinner from a restaurant and ate it in a parking lot LOL). Like you, we’ll make up for it next year.
Thanks Tanya. We will definitely do our best. 😉
Happy reading.
Childcare is never easy at the best of times – but now it must be a real challenge! I hope your little girl’s nose dries up soon. Have a nice time together, maybe playing a game or watching a special film. But next year is always a plan – happy anniversary anyway!
It’s definitely a challenge. Especially for a control freak like me. LOL! I can’t deal with this uncertainty. But we all have to manage I guess. 😀
Happy reading.
Congratulations with your aniversary! Maybe you can order some fancy dinner? Put on some candles and make it romantic…
Hope your girl won’t have a runny nose anymore soon!
We’ll definitely try to make things work. 😉
Happy reading.
Love the planner.
Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary 🥂
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you. And the planner is definitely great. I can’t stop wanting to write things in it. 😀
Happy reading.
Sorry about the runny nose situation, I know that’s frustrating with everything that’s going on right now. 😞 Our daycares have been closed wince March 25th – and I work at one. I just learned this week that we’ll be opening again on the first of June, and I am SO EXCITED. Not just to go back to work, but my son also goes there with me, so it’s a two-for-one. I’ve loved spending time with him since his personality is just starting to come out, but I also miss the normalcy we had before corona happened. 😩
Your anniversary is on my birthday! Nothing wrong with cozying up with a good bottle of wine 😉 I’ll probably be doing the same thing, since it’s my 30th hahaha. Hope you have a great week ahead of you! 😊
I can imagine you being excited. The thing that kept me sane these last view weeks have been the fact that I’ve been able to go to work.
Congrats on your 30th. 😉
Happy reading.
I’m sorry about the childcare issues. I had similar problems with no family in the same state to help. Even if we took out vacation separate it wasn’t enough days to cover all the holidays and non-school days where we had to work. That doesn’t even start the illness problems.
Happy anniversary and enjoy your new reads!

It’s definitely hard at times being a working mom. But we’ll get through it.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading.
Sorry to hear about your little one getting the runny nose. That’s no fun in general, and sad to hear she has to miss her little friends at daycare, but totally understand why the daycare has to say no to that. Happy Anniversary too! During this time, a nice quiet night at home sounds like a nice way to spend it. You could always do a special dinner later on when things get a little more settled.
Nice new reads too! All totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Happy Anniversary! I hope you little girl is feeling better.
Have a good week!
Love planners. Actually doing the bullet journal thing with a Leuchtturm. Have a Happy Anniversary 🙂
I totally get it too, but still crappy. I hope she gets over the runny nose soon and she and you can go back to your usual. Happy 3rd! My husband and I celebrated our 19th last week. It goes fast, believe me. We really didn’t do much either since you can’t, but we will when things are better – maybe next year. I really like the covers for The Name of Red and If We Ever Meet Again. I hope you like all your reads! Thanks for stopping by!
