I honestly can’t believe today is already the last day of January. It feels like it was just New Year’s, and now we are already getting to February and there are already a lot of Easter chocolates etc. in the stores. Crazy!
This week things have been a little harder pregnancy wise. It started last Sunday when I started to get a lot of stomach tightening’s, which I got at times already, but now nonstop. It wasn’t necessarily painful, but it felt really uncomfortable. So I called my midwife and the conclusion was that I had to take more rest and needed to go to my general practitioner again for a urine sample. Luckily things got a little better by Tuesday, and I’ve been trying to take more rest during the day. My urine sample was clean, so I just have to try and get more rest. This week we will go for a new ultrasound and see our baby boy. But it’s definitely getting harder. And don’t even let me start with how my emotions are at the moment. I can cry all day for no reason! LOL!
Because I had to take it easy, I didn’t have a lot to do this week. I tried to entertain our little girl, and got some craft boxes. I figured I could keep her entertained like that without doing to much. So far it’s working and our girl loves doing crafts.
This weekend we are taking it easy, just the three of us. We are still in lockdown, and there is still an evening curfew.. so we can’t do much else.
Reading wise I’m still on a role. I’ve read 13 books so far this year, the one good thing about not sleeping a lot and not being able to go out or do much else.
I hope you guys are doing well and have been able to read too!
- Review ‘Much Ado About You’ by Samantha Young

Sorry to hear about the stomach tightenings, but lovely that you have been spending some lovely crafty time with your little girl and read so many books! Take care, keep those feet up and happy reading in the coming week. 🙂
Thanks Jessica. There have definitely been a lot of good things about this leave so far 😀
Happy reading.
Sorry to hear that the pregnancy is getting a bit more difficult, Maureen. I hope the extra rest will help. Not long to go, now!
I keep telling myself it’s all for a good cause!! LOL!.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Wow 13 in 30 days is an achievement, I can see your leave works wonder for your reading. Now I wish I could say the same about your health. My prayers and thoughts are with you about that one too.
Thanks Gayathri. I love being able to read so much.
Happy reading.
I’m so sorry that your pregnancy is getting harder:(. It’s always difficult to rest sufficiently when you have a little one who needs looking after – especially as right now, we aren’t supposed to mix with others or visit… I hope the extra rest will help, Maureen.
It definitely is a lot more difficult then when I was pregnant with our girl. But this time is also very precious. I love the way our girl asks about the baby a lot, and puts her hands on my stomach at times. It’s so beautiful to see how excited she is.
Happy reading.
Wow 13 books already! that is amazing. I hope you are feeling better and I am sorry that your pregnancy is getting harder.
Thanks Stephanie. I haven’t read so many books in a month since before I became a mom. LOL!
Happy reading.
Hang in there and I know rest is hard with your daughter, work and life but it will do a world of good.
Thanks Kimberly. Happy reading.
sorry to hear you were not feeling well but glad it i snot serious and that you are spending time with your little girl and reading a lot!
Thanks Mar. I just have to hang in there for a little while longer. 🙂
Happy reading.
Hope the discomfort eases up…and we are all free from curfew sooner rather than later. Good to hear of the craft bonding time and the reading.
Thanks Joanne. I sure hope so. But the curfew doesn’t bother me all that much.. since I never really go anywhere since everything is closed anyway.
Happy reading.
Glad to hear you’re hanging in there with the last few weeks of pregnancy. I know my sister is ready to be done and she still has over a month left. Hope you are able to take it easy these last few weeks.
Nice new reads! Those are all new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks Jessica. Happy reading.
I’m glad you have the option to rest and read more. It won’t be long now.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Well.. I don’t really have an option with a little girl running around all day and having no help till my husband gets home. LOL!! But for now, our girl is allowed to watch a little more television than normal. I need all the help I can get right?! 😉
Happy reading.
Sorry to hear that your pregnancy has been bothering you. I hope you get better soon.
No worries, just a few more weeks to go. 😉
Happy reading.
YOu had some intriguing books there. I hope everything will be all right. Take care
Thanks Melliane. Happy reading.
Take it easy, though with another wee one it’s difficult, I remember it well.
Thanks Heather. I’ll definitely try 😉
I am not ready to think about Easter yet. First I have Valentine’s Day here in the U.S. coming up to worry about. I do not go into stores and so have to order everything online. It can be challenging to find what I want or need. I don’t go all out for Valentine’s Day, but usually it’s a matter of me browsing around the store and finding something little for my daughter and her friend and even something for my husband. I’ll be doing my browsing virtually this year–and I’d better get started since I have shipping time to worry about!
I hope you are getting your rest. I am so glad the tightening and discomfort is better and the urine test came back negative. You’re almost there.
I hope you have a great February! Take care, Maureen.
LOL!! No.. I’m definitely not ready either. Although Valentine’s Day isn’t a big thing here and we usually ignore it. I hope you’re shopping goes well 😉
Have a great week and happy reading.
I hope you’re having a lot of rest this week, it’s difficult when you’re having another small child (my daughters are two years apart, I remember how it was). The sample was clear, which is reassuring. Take care, mwah !
Thanks Iza. It sure is difficult at times. But it’s all worth it 😉
Happy reading.
I would be curious about The Duke and I. I have a few books in the series for a while but I haven’t read them yet
