This was the first week back to work for us and it has definitely been busy again. I worked on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. And I’ll have to work again this weekend. So bam.. No slowly getting back into a rhythm after our vacation. LOL!
If you ask me now what I did next to working? Well.. not that much. I went to the Zoo with our little girl and my mom, which was really fun and other than that I did some reading, blogging and house stuff.
I’ve been working on my Maureen’s Books Book Club idea. I’m excited to get a post with more information up next week. I hope this is an idea people will like.

We swapped roles! My vacation just started and I really need it, the end of the year as a teacher is always busy, especially when you have 6th Graders who leave Primary School!

Urg! That was a baptism by fire! Himself is also back to work on Wednesday, but we have been disgracefully lazy throughout his holiday and more or less stayed and home and done nothing! I hope the weekend isn’t too busy and you get a chance to put your feet up with week!

Schools are starting here in SA tomorrow, we are still mainly online, but it’s rather hectic! We were suppose to be on holiday, but I’ve worked straight through. BUT I guess we need to be grateful that we do have the opportunity to still go/do our work.

My Little misses the zoo so much! It’s definitely not safe enough here in Florida so we’ve been playing Zoo Tycoon which lets us build our own zoo! It’s fun but we still miss our adventures.

Sorry to hear you have been plunged into the deep end with your return to work, Maureen! I can sympathise, as I returned to work pretty much full time this week too and now I am so tired!! This has meant a drop in my reading, but when I have had chance I have been enjoying my reads. I found watching TV easier for my tired brain. Take care and happy reading. 😀

That first week back is the worst. The zoo sounds great fun, restrictions have been lifted slightly here in Scotland and I can’t wait to visit our local safari park.

At least you had a nice week off. It’s been ages since I’ve been to a zoo. Hopefully, we’ll get to our local wildlife park soon as it’s recent reopened having been closed for over 3 months.
I hope you’ll be able to go to the wildlife park soon. I’t’s been so good to be able to go there again. It’s a real treat for our little girl, but also for us. LOL!
