Thank god it’s the weekend! This week has been kind of exhausting.
After working last weekend, and Monday, I finally had a day off on Tuesday. I was so glad to be able to spend the day with our kids because I just felt like I hadn’t seen them much with all those workdays. We visited this little lunch room with an attached play garden with my friend and her little boy. So while the kids where having a blast, we were able to catch up. It was lots of fun. The rest of the day I made sure I was able to just be with the kids.
Unfortunately on Wednesday I woke up with a bad cold. Nothing to serious, but since I work in the hospital, I wasn’t allowed to go to work without taking a Covid test first. The test ended being negative, but I wasn’t able to got to work since it took almost 8 hours to get the results back. I hope things will get more effective with Winter coming closer and closer. Otherwise things will get pretty crazy with all those colds.
Thursday I went to work again. And on Friday I had the day off again. We spend the morning going to our girls dance class, we visited another very promising daycare nearby.. And in the evening my best friend came over for dinner. After dinner the husband and I went to our very first party in almost 2 years! We had a wedding, and it was in this big tent on a big piece of land and it was just so much fun. I danced like my life depended on it! LOL!!! It was so nice!! Before we where able to get to the party we had to share our vaccination card, so it all felt pretty safe. It was amazing just to be near people again and have fun.
This weekend will be kind of quiet. We are just going to spend time with our kids and each other. I hope to get some Fall decorations up. An next week will be another busy one, with my terms of employment interview for my new job and lots of other appointments.

Sorry to hear about the cold, but also glad it was just a cold! Crazy how these days the sniffles can now send us into a panic. The wedding sounds like a lot of fun! And knowing everyone was vaccinated had to allow you to relax and have a good time.

Sorry to hear you got sick, but hope you’re feeling better now. It’s scary these days to just get a little cold. Yay for having a fun night out too! I had my first bit of old normalcy last week and it was so much fun!

I hope you’re feeling better! I’ve been to 1 party in the last two years. It was an outdoor BBQ, and almost everyone there was vaccinated. Still, it was weird to be at a party. I’m glad you had fun at the wedding. Have a great week!

I totally agree. It’s strange how normal these ‘un-normal’ things feel.
Sounds like a great week, except for the cold.

It sure does sound as if you’ve had a really busy week. And having a cold right in the middle of it all definitely won’t help. Just glad you are okay and had some time to spend with your little ones.
