This week was pretty hard for us as new parents. Our baby girl got sick for the first time Monday morning with high fevers and puking etc. Since I had to work on Tuesday and Wednesday I was really having trouble figuring out how to do everything with a sick baby. Tuesday wasn’t a problem since our baby girl went to my mother-in-law. So I was able to go to work, but then it snowed.. And when it snows here nobody seems to know how to drive anymore. It took me 2.5 hours to get home that day. Sigh.. On Wednesday baby girls fever got even higher and I couldn’t take her to the daycare (they don’t accept the kids with fevers, understandable) and so I had to take a sick day at work. Baby girl slept all day, and it was just so sad to see her like that. Thankfully she slowly got better and on Friday I was able to take her to my mom so I could go to work. It was definitely hard to see our baby girl like this.
Today, Saturday, is the first day baby girl is completely better. She is playing and laughing again and we can definitely get back in our rhythm too. We don’t have much planned this weekend so I plan on reading and blogging a lot.
Btw.. If you follow me on social media you might have seen my Harry Potter book sleeve I got this week. I really love it!! It’s pretty right?!

I’m glad your baby girl is better. Sick kids do tear at our hearts…and mess up our routines.
I like the look of your books. I’ll Find You might have a different title here: Don’t Wake Up (I think). It’s on my list.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Oh no that’s always hard when the little one gets sick! Glad she’s feeling better! And 2.5 hours- yikes. Not fun.
I’ll Find You looks fun. I’ve been all about thrillers and mysteries lately seems like. 🙂
Nope.. it was definitely horrible. Especially since I knew our baby girl wasn’t feeling too good then either. Sigh..

I’m glad she got through it. You are lucky to have 2 grandmas close by.
I love the JD Robb books. Here’s to a better week ahead, this one is about finished.
Definitely. But I guess everything is close by here in The Netherlands since it’s only such a small country. 😀
