Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A Post to
recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received
and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
This week
was our first week back to work after our vacation. And it started out very
interesting. From Sunday till Monday there was a lot of snowfall here. A lot I
say? Yes, well a lot for the Netherlands. And when there is more than 20 cm of
snow, we all go a little crazy here. Why you ask? Well.. people tend to drive very
slow, so there are a lot of traffic jams. Trains aren’t going as planned, and it
feels like the whole country has gone a little mad. LOL!
I had to go work, and since I couldn’t take our car I went with the train. Instead
of the normal 40 minutes in the morning, it now took me two hours to get to
work since a lot of trains weren’t going anymore. Obviously I was really late
at work. And in the afternoon it was advised to stay at home. Hmm.. I left work
and went home as soon as I could, I thankfully was able to get on one of the
last busses and later a train. (Yes, even the trains and busses weren’t going
anymore). But when I was nearly home, some confused person was walking on the rails
so the train couldn’t continue anymore. So.. long story short.. it took me 2,5
hours to get home, and I only live 30 kilometers (that’s almost 19 miles) away
from work. Frustrating really.
and Wednesday I was free from work. One of my coworkers came over for coffee,
which was really fun. And I went to do some Christmas shopping.
of the week, and this weekend I have to work again. Unfortunately I’m not feeling
all to well at the moment. Not really sure what the problem is really. I’m
having these moments when I feel really weak and shaky. I get really hot and
after I sit for a little while it’s over. Pretty damn frustrating if you’re a nurse.
Hopefully it gets better soon.
& Blogging:
reading and blogging as much as I could this week. I’m trying to get some posts
ready for the upcoming weeks so I don’t have to do as much at Christmas. So far
so good.

Oh that's crazy about your work commute! I hope it doesn't get any worse for you.
I love Blind Date with a Book…I might have to grab one for myself, a local secondhand store does them here 🙂
Have a wonderful Christmas!
Thankfully the snow has almost completely melted away. I love snow, but I hate how it makes me travel so long. LOL!
You really should, I love my Blind Date With a Book 😉
Happy reading!
Oh, sorry about the traffic. I love snow because we don’t have it here. Your picture is beautiful. Glad to hear you still enjoy it despite the issues. I hope you enjoy your new books this week and have a wonderful week. Oh, i’m curious about Maureen’s little corner. 😁❤️
Thanks Geybie. I can't imagine never seeing snow. I love it!! Even if it takes me so long to get to work. 😉
Happy reading!
Wow! That's a lot of snow there! I wish it snowed where we are.
Here’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
Snow is definitely pretty and fun. But it has it's downsides. LOL!
Happy Reading!
It's good to have snow when you don't have it too often 🙂 once a year would be enough for me, I get tired of it xD
As for the way you're feeling… I had something similar. And it all ended in some sort of stomach virus. It might be the same… I stopped drinking coffee so I would stop shaking and being all jumpy and weak. So stay hydrated and maybe get some vitamin C for your immune system 🙂 and some rest, if you can… hope you have a good week.
Thanks for the tips Evelina. I'm definitely trying to stay hydrated. Sorry to hear you had the same.
Have a great week and happy reading!
That is a crazy commute! I'm glad you had time to enjoy the snow with your husband. I hope this week is a good one!
It sure was interesting going to and from work. LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading!
I am so jealous about the snow but man, that is a terrible commute home!! Hope this week is less eventful!
So far, no snow this week. It makes it a lot easier to go places. LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Wow you did get some snow! It can be fun but not the traveling part. 🙂 Hope you're feeling better.
Blind Date With A book looks fun!
Thanks Greg. The Blind Date With a Book is really good. I love it.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I wish it would snow where I live. It seems so magical – even if people drive very slow. =P I hope you figure out what is going on with you soon and feel better.
Happy readings & Wishes of a great week.
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
It definitely was very magical. And I still love snow, even if it took me so long to get too work. 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!
I love the snow photos. It’s crazy that it took you so long to get home from work. We get tons of snow here, so people are used to it. Have a great week!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I went to Switzerland a lot when I was growing up. They have lots of snow too. So seeing how people here react is kind of frustrating! LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Your snow photos are great!! I wish I could be told to stay home. I live almost an hour away from my job (and triple that on the weekends). It would be nice! I hope you start feeling better.
Me too. Staying home would be a lot easier. Well.. I don't think that happens a lot for us teachers and nurses. 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!
