Another week has flown by. It was a crazy busy week for
me. I had to work from Tuesday till Friday and it was really busy at work and I
didn’t get a lot of sleep. But what else is new.. LOL!!
me. I had to work from Tuesday till Friday and it was really busy at work and I
didn’t get a lot of sleep. But what else is new.. LOL!!
On Tuesday I went to my friend for dinner. We made
Macaroni Carbonara and then we went to the musical the Bodyguard. I was looking
forward to this musical for weeks so I was super excited. I loved the movie the
Bodyguard and I also really love Whitney Houston’s music, so my expectations
were really high. But fortunately the musical was also really great. The music,
the actors and the singers were amazing and the dancing was also very good. We
loved it and it ended way too fast.
Of course I was home way too late, so after
a view hours of sleep I had to get to work again. Wednesday after work I spent much of my evening cooking, because Thursday after work we had dinner with friends. We all made one course, and I made Mediterranean zucchini
soup with smoked chicken. It all tasted very good and it was a fun night.

I didn’t have a lot of reading time this week so I was a
little stressed yesterday morning because I felt like I was way too behind on
my reading schedule.. Today I feel a lot better. I just decided to do what I can
and not to stress too much. Reading is for fun right?! And it also helps that I
spend my whole Saturday reading. Crazy what reading can do for me.. One day
of reading and I feel like myself again.

How was your week? And how do you handle busy weeks? Any
tips for finding more reading time for me?

I'm glad the musical lived up to your expectations Maureen… nothing worse than really looking forward to something which lets you down. It sounds like a busy week and a bit of a social one as well. Hopefully work isn't quite as full-on next week and hope you sleep a bit better!
Thank you Deborah. It really was a great musical. I've been listining to the music every since! 😀
Reading is for fun, hell yes! I think when you book blog it's too easy for it to become a chore and I have to remind myself over and over that reading is my time out and to only do what I feel like doing.
The musical sounds fun! I love going to them, they are always such an entertaining evening and you leave in a great mood.
I really have to remind myself too at times. I think it's part of being a perfectionist. LOL!!
Musicals really are great. It had been a while for me, so it was extra special 😀
Paradise will most definitely be a library, there's no way it can't be! Hope you have a good week!
Thank you. And I totally agree ;D
Reading is definitely a good restorer! I like that cover of your new book, too…
I love going to plays and musicals, went to one last night actually and it was fun. Have a great week!
That's awesome! Which one did you go? It so much fun to go too a musical. I wish I could go more often.
What a busy week! Don't worry about being "behind" on reading because, yes, reading is for fun! Sometimes I forget that because of having a blog, but I hate to force myself to read when I don't want to or I'm tired. Just have fun 🙂
Here is my Sunday Post!

I definitely need to remember the reading is for fun part. It's still fun but especially when I'm really busy it gets more of a chore.. and that's definitely not what I want it to be.
I hear ya on the reading. I get cranky and out of sorts when I go too long without reading *something*. I gotta get my fix even if it's just a short story or a quick graphic novel. 🙂 I've never been to a musical since I'm not really a fan. The are only 2 musicals I've really enjoyed and those were Buffy's Once More with Feeling and the Psych episode Psych the Musical. lol
I've only seen the Buffy one.. But I loved that one and still watch it sometimes! 😀
Reading is definitely fun and it can sometimes be the most calming thing for me though I do sometimes get stressed and start feeling like I'm behind. Too many books I want to read I guess. I love the idea of The Bodyguard as a muscial and that's great that they did a good job! Have a great week and enjoy the rest of your break.
The Bodyguard definitely was a great musical. I was honestly a little surprised that it hadn’t become a musical earlier on. And that music… Sigh!!
Thanks for stopping by!
I wish I did have a tip or two for finding more time to read during a busy week. I am not always so good at it myself. I am glad you enjoyed The Bodyguard musical. I would love to see that! I hope you have a great week!
I think we could make a great post if we thought of some tips for finding reading time! 😉
I'm glad you enjoyed the musical! The song Run to You from The Bodyguard is one of my favorite Whitney Houston songs.
I also love that song. My favorite Whitney Houston song is still 'I wanna Dance With Somebody'. Love that one!
