I’m so glad it’s weekend. This week has just flew by and especially Wednesday till Friday where crazy busy.
On Monday one of my co-workers came over to see our home for the first time. She brought her little boy so that he could play with our little girl. It was really fun to see them together. And it’s crazy to me that our girl is already big enough to have ‘sort-of’ play dates. LOL!! It feels like yesterday she was only able to lay with me. This is such a fun time!
Tuesday the little girl and I went to some groceries and clean-up our home. I always to this with her, and she really helps in her own way. Super cute!
Wednesday till Friday I had to work. So it was pretty busy. Waking up at 5.30 a.m., getting ready, waking up the little girl at 6 a.m., trying to get her to eat a little bit, and off to the daycare, babysitter and grandparents three times in a row. At work by 7.30 a.m. and working till 4 (and 5 p.m. on Wednesday), picking the little girl up, driving home, making dinner, bath time with the little girl, putting her to bed, clean everything up together with my husband and putting everything ready to go for the next day. Sigh.. I mostly work Monday, Wednesday, Friday so I always have one day off to take it a little slower. Or I work the weekend and don’t have to take care of the little girl, so I can take things a little easier. This week I just realized even more how busy life can be while having a little girl and a job. But.. even though it’s busy.. It’s all good! I wouldn’t change a thing.
Tonight, I’m writing this on Saturday, my husband and I are going on a date night. We haven’t had one of those in almost a year because of the move and well life. So we’re really looking forward to it. A nice evening just the two of us, having a nice dinner, just talking.. It will be good for us.
Sunday we plan to relax a little and do some home stuff.
Bookish wise I haven’t read as much as I wanted this week. Blogging also wasn’t going as well as I hoped this week. But the upcoming week should be better. I did get some nice new books I’m excited to read. What are you guys reading?
I hope you guys are doing well.

This week did fly by! And cool that you guys got to do a date night. Those can be hard to do when life gets hectic. 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend and a good week!
Date Nights are definitely hard to do when life is crazy and having a little girl. But it was a great night, we had lots of fun.

It’s always SUCH a balancing act coping with work and looking after a young child. I hope your date night was a lovely one:)). Have a great reading week, Maureen:).
It sure is. But I’m getting better at it.. I hope!
Have a great week and happy reading.
It does just fly by and it’s tough to fit in everything because of course, I want to do everything. I had some times when I worked in the pharmacy when I would be at work 6 or 7 days in a row during busy season. That was rough. I need at least a day every week to do laundry and dwaddle around home. This past year has been all about the moving.
Enjoy this precious time with little girl! Have a wonderful week!

Your date night sounds like it will be wonderful and well deserved. I remember how few and far between those were when ours were young. Enjoy!
Thank you for the sidebar shout out. I was feeling down today, as no matter how hard I try I can’t seem to fill a tour for an author and here you are boosting me…just because you are you…and wonderful. So thank you!!
It really was a great date night. I hope we will be able to do it again soon.
And you’re very welcome Kimberly. I’m glad I can help out. I don’t know which tour you’re talking about, but if you’re still looking.. and I’m not a part of it yet.. Send me an email and maybe I can help with a tour stop. 😉
Have a great week and happy reading.
Yes, managing a job and family does make for a busy life–but, as you said, it it worth it. 🙂 I am glad you and your husband were able to go on a date night! I hope you had a good time.
