This week I’ve been trying to catch up on some house work. After working a lot the previous two weeks, our home definitely needed some cleaning and I tried to do that this week. And mostly I managed. In the end it also meant I wasn’t able to catch up on my blogging as much as I’d hoped.. but I’m okay with that. After your kind messages last week, I decided to not pressure myself as much on the blogging front.. and slowly on I’m catching up.
Since I had more free time this week, and things are slowly opening up again around here, I was able to do some fun stuff again. On Thursday I went to the zoo with our little girl. It was a very rainy day, but we had a lot of fun. It was especially fun to see how much more she seems to enjoy the zoo now that she is a little bit older. I can’t wait to go again.
On Friday evening my mom and I went out to dinner. It was the first time in months we did something together. And even though we had to take precautions, and keep a distance as much as possible.. We had a great time.
I also ended up taking a Corona test this week.. I was having a sore throat for a view days, and since I work as a nurse in the hospital I had to take the test to make sure I didn’t have Corona virus myself. Luckily the test came out negative. I think it’s just a little cold since it’s already getting better. But it was still scary.
Watching the news and social media this week has been rough. What a world we live in at the moment.. But I’m positive things will get better again! I’m just staying hopeful!
I hope you guys are doing well.

Glad your Corona test came back negative! I’ve often thought it must be so nervewracking for health providers to risk exposure so much, while most of us are trying to avoid at all costs. I know I’d be super nervous! That must have been a big relief.
And yay for the zoo! How fun. Hope you have a great week ahead, and happy reading!
Thanks Greg. And yes it was kind off nervewracking.. but I also really didn’t think I had it.. But I still had my doubts so it was nice to learn for sure it was negative.
Stay safe and happy reading.
Maureen, lovely to hear you have had more free time this week and were able to spend it out and about with your little girl and your mum, now the restrictions have eased for you. Also so pleased your Corona test came back negative – I hope you’re able to rest and get better soon! 😊

Thanks Jessica. It was definitely nice to have more free time.
I am glad that it turned out negative, Maureen. And that is such an adorable picture. Stay safe.
Thanks.

I am glad you got to go out and spend time with your mom, and take your daughter to the zoo. Those moments are so great.
Good news on the test results.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
Thanks Laurel. It definitely felt great to do something again.
Happy reading.
I work in healthcare and, while I do not provide direct patient care, it is still such a stressful environment to work in day-in and day-out. Thank you for being a front-line worker!
Sorry that you had to get tested; I hear it is rather unpleasant. But I’m happy that it came back negative.
Have a great week!
It definitely wasn’t a fun test. But I’ve been doing it to patients.. so I knew what to expect.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stay safe and happy reading.
Great photo! I’m glad you were able to do somewhat more normal things, sorry you had to clean.
Take care of yourself, stay safe and be well!

What a sweet picture of you and your mini-me 🙂 I’ve got to actually clean my house this week. Our cleaning people start back next week, but hubs invited company over this Friday. Grr…. 😉 Enjoy your week and thanks for working (glad you tested negative!).
Thank you Becki. I’ve been wanting to look for some help with cleaning.. but I haven’t found anyone yet. I’m afraid I’ll not like how they do things. LOL!! I’m such a control freak.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I’m glad you don’t have corona and were able to get out of the house. I don’t think zoos are open here yet, but I did take my niece to a greenhouse last week to look at the plants. It was great to get away from everything for a while.
It sure was great to be able to take our little girl somewhere again. It definitely felt like forever. The greenhouse sounds fun too.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I am glad you and your little girl had fun at the zoo! I look forward to us getting out and about again, although I’m not sure when that will be. I am glad your test came back negative. That is good news! I hope you have a great week, Maureen. Enjoy your new books!
Thanks Wendy. It’s really nice to be able to go out again.
Stay safe and happy reading.
