This week
has definitely been better than the last one. I had to work Monday evening,
which isn’t a shift I love to work, but it was nice and quiet for a change. So
it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

On
Tuesday, me and my mom went to Amsterdam. Since my mom was born there, and I
was born in a little town close to Amsterdam, it has always been a special city
for us. I love visiting Amsterdam and it never gets old even though I’ve been
there a lot. So my mom and I had a great day! We visited our two favorite
bookshops, which you might have seen if you follow me on Instagram. And we had
a nice lunch and visited some other nice shops. It was definitely a nice day
that flew by.

Wednesday
till Friday I had to work, but I had dinner with one of my girlfriends on
Friday which was very nice. We talked a lot and she made us some very tasty
risotto. It was definitely a nice day.

This
weekend my husband and I finally received all our wedding albums. So today, Saturday,
we were finally able to give my mom and my mother-in-law there ‘parent’ albums.
They didn’t know we had these albums made for them so it was a nice surprise. I
was looking forward to it for weeks. Unfortunately it took a while before they
were finally ready, but today we were finally able to give it to them! It was
so nice to see their reactions. They loved the albums. We also finally received
are own wedding album.. It’s so pretty! I can’t stop looking at it.

late blogging nights, and I didn’t get a lot of reading time. But this weekend

At our
trip to Amsterdam, I bought two new books which I really wanted. And I also
updated my TBR list after visiting these bookshops. Oh Boy.. I definitely need
to find more reading time!

Yay for date night! I bet your parents and his were thrilled with the albums! We got CDs of our pictures and handed those out to family. Great for us because it was easy, but that was 2004 and most of our family didn't know how to print their own pictures and taking the disk places wasn't super popular yet…so it was kind of a pain for our family!
Our moms were definitely thrilled. And they didn't expect to be getting an album at all so it was really fun to give it to them.

The albums are just gorgeous. Every time I look at them, it's almost like I'm reliving our wedding day all over again.

What a fabulous week! And how special to finally get your wedding albums and able to give them to your mothers. That is so sweet. Your date night was the perfect ending to the week! I've had a fair amount of reading in lately. I caught up on a bunch of posts today and plan for more tomorrow. I'll need to write two reviews. I always seem to procrastinate writing them these days.
