This week has been a nice one, but I honestly don’t have a lot to tell you guys. It was nice, and quiet and we stayed at home. With the exception of Wednesday.. Wednesday was an exciting day! On Wednesday we had the last ultrasound of our baby boy to see how he was doing and how his position was. And everything is going great with our little boy. His position is exactly the way you want him to be in so we can have an unmedicated natural birth like I want. His weight is guessed to be around 2700 gram (5.9 pounds) which is also normal and looking good. It was so good to hear everything is going great and our boy is doing so well. He was moving a lot too. Only a few more weeks to go baby boy!!
After the ultrasounds appointment my aunt came over and helped me with some house stuff. Obviously my husband does a lot at the moment, but since he is working everyday it was nice to have an extra set of hands help out with some cleaning. And it was fun to talk and catch up too.
On Friday evening I visited one of my girlfriends for dinner. And I got home right before the start of our national curfew.
This weekend we are staying at home and relax again. We are still in lockdown, so we don’t have a lot of choice.. but there is also supposedly a snow storm coming with extreme colds for our part of the world. Around -10 (14 degrees Fahrenheit) during the day, which is unusual. Since we aren’t used to lots of snow and colds here, they even declared a code red for Sunday. For someone who has spent a lot of her childhood in Switzerland, I always think it’s funny to see how people react to this kind of weather. I can’t wait for the snow to be honest!
This week my paperback copy of Bridgerton: The Duke and I, finally arrived and I started reading immidiately. I plan on finishing tonight, so I can finally watch the netflix series. I’m loving the book so far.
Tell me how you guys are doing? What have you been reading?
- Release Blitz ‘Daughter of Secrets’ by Denise Daye

It has also been a very quiet week for me too, with just work, reading and a bit of TV watching; as you said with lockdown continuing and the very cold weather can’t really do much else! I am also pleased to hear you and your baby boy are doing well. Take care and happy reading, Maureen 🙂
Thanks Jessica. When we finally get rid of Covid.. I think we all be having problems doing the stuff we want to do. We aren’t used to doing a lot anymore. LOL!
Happy reading.
Glad to hear everything is good with the baby. As a lifelong Floridian, it’s hard to imagine that kind of cold and snow! 🙂 I picked up Loving Valentine, too. Should be good for when I want something quick and easy.
Thanks Tanya. And I’ll bet it’s hard to imagine. I can’t imagine living somewhere it’s always sunny. 😀 I don’t think my skin could take it. LOL!
Happy reading.
Glad to hear everything is going well with the baby! How exciting! 🙂
I watched the tv show of Bridgerton before buying the books but I’m not sorry for the show was great. I really enjoyed it over Christmas.
Hope you have a good week!
Thanks Nicci. I started watching last night.. Love it so far.
Happy reading.
That’s great to hear you had such a nice week. And that’s good news that everything was great with your baby boy at the ultrasound check in, must be nice to hear that. I didn’t realize you spend a lot of your childhood in Switzerland, I’ve been there on vacations a few times. I always feel that other countries can handle the snow better because they have to deal with it more often. I haven’t read or watched Bridgerton, but I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it. I hope you’ll have a great week!
Thanks Lola. Yes.. I miss Switzerland a lot. We used to go there all the time and I spend every vacation and birthday there for years. I can honestly get homesick for that place. Probably because I got so many great childhood memories there. And not to forget.. I got engaged to my husband there. He proposed to me at a place I visited often with my family. I hope to be able to take my family there someday.
Happy reading.
Congrats on your sweet baby boy! So glad to hear things are well & he’ll be arriving soon. ♥ It’s very cold and snowy where I am too. I don’t mind so much when we’ve got no place to go. I haven’t watched Bridgerton yet, but it’s on our watch list. I hear it’s fantastic! Take care.
Thank you Diana. I’ve been loving the snow. But it definitely helps to be on leave and not having to be anywhere on time. LOL!
Happy reading.
So glad that the pregnancy is progressing perfectly!
Thanks Nicole.
I’m curious how close to the books that the Netflix series is.
I started watching last night.. and it’s definitely a little different. But not to much and not in a bad way. So I can’t wait to see more.
Happy reading.
Exciting times! I hope you are able to sleep over the next coming weeks before your son arrives. It has been very cold here in Chicago too. I am currently reading A Pocket in Time by Lexi Post. It’s a time travel romance–really fun!
Thanks Victoria. A Pocked in Time sounds fun. I love time travel romance!
Happy reading.
Happy to hear everyhting is going well with your pregnancy 🙂
Whaaaat?? I LOVED Bridgerton! I didn’t know it was a book adaptation! I gotta read that book! Hope we love it !
It sure is. The books have been out there for a while 😉 I just bought the next book too and started watching the Netflix series last night.
Happy reading.
I’m so glad to hear everything is going well and you have help. Yes we had huge amounts of snow and cold in Minnesota so nothing sounds too bad to me. I don’t miss it but here if it snows and doesn’t stick they freak out. Take care of yourself. Relax and read!

Thanks Anne. Snow is definitely a scary thing for most. I love it though 😀
Happy reading.
I am so glad that your final ultrasound went well. It will be exciting to welcome your new baby boy. How nice of your aunt to come over and help you out. Have a great week! Happy reading!
Thanks Carole. It’s definitely an exciting time. I can’t wait to meet our little boy and be able to cuddle him. And I can’t wait for our daughter to get to meet him. Sigh…
Happy reading.
I am glad the ultrasound went well and baby boy is doing well. 🙂 It was nice of your aunt to come over and help. That must have been a nice load off of both yours and your husband’s shoulders. I hope you enjoy your new books! Have a great week.
It was definitely a blessing having my aunt help us. But also kind of weird since we rarely ask or get help.. So I almost felt guitly for sitting on the couch. LOL!
Happy reading.
