First things first.. I wanted to thank you guys for your kind words on my last Sunday post when I wrote about my struggle with being a working mom at times. I really needed those kind words and I appreciate you all so much! Thank you!
This Friday #HoHoHoRAT 2019 started and I’m so excited. I always love this readathon so much! (Well I love everything that has to with Christmas to be honest!! LOL!!) And this year I’m excited to host one of the challenges again. I love being a Christmas Elf!
This week has flown by again. And it was definitely one of those weeks I’m not completely sure what I did, but time just went by so damn quickly that I didn’t do half of the things I wanted to do. I worked on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesday I had a ‘Women Only Dinner’ with some of the women I work with! Twenty to be exact. I organized it and made the reservations and it was so much fun to do, but the evening itself was even better. I loved it! My boss and I made these little goodie bags to give to the women and it was just a very fun evening.
On Friday we had a funeral, and this weekend we’re celebrating my grandma’s 79th birthday. So.. yet another week flown by in which I didn’t get to blog as much as I wanted. But my goal is to get everything in order for the new year, so I’ll be able to work ahead in 2020 instead of always having to do my posts at the last minute. I’m determined to make it work!

Your women only dinner sounds so nice, Maureen! I’m sure the organizing took time, even if you enjoyed doing it.
I somehow missed your post last week – but being a working mom is definitely hard. And I remember when my children were much younger and how I sometimes felt guilty leaving them at daycare. Even if they actually loved being at daycare.
Good luck with HoHoHoRat!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
Yes, being a mom is definitely an emotional rollercoaster at times. But I love every minute of it! 😉
The dinner really was fun. I had a great time and it made me realize how much I love planning things.
Have a great week Linda and happy reading!
I’m hoping to do some HoHoHo’ing too haha, I always enjoy this readathon. I love Christmas in general though.
Happy birthday to your grandmother!!
Good luck with HoHoHoRAT Greg! I just really love Christmas too! My husband thinks I’m crazy reading Christmas books, and listening to Christmas music already.. But I just can’t stop! LOL!
Happy reading!
The weeks *are* going by quickly! I blame retail stores for putting out their Christmas stock so early. It puts a lot more pressure on November.
Yes. I think you might be right about that. But I’m a big Christmas lover, so I don’t really mind! 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!
It is already time Christmas reads? OMG time flies. I will try and read some seasonal books but I have a lot on my TBR already so I am not so sure. I hope you have a great week ahead.
It can never be too early for Christmas reads is you ask me! LOL!!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Sounds like you were having a great time organizing the dinner and enjoying it. Wishing your grandmother a very happy birthday.
Thanks.
I really did have a great time organizing it! It was a lot of work, but so much fun.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Lol, I love how you enjoyed organising your work meal whereas I’ve just organised one for 26 and it made me question all my life choices!
I’m so happy that it is HoHoHoRAT time! I know it’s early for Christmas but I need the festive joy in my life right now!
LOL!! I hope you work meal went well too? Maybe I can help out in the future since I loved it so much! 😉 😛
I really know what you mean.. I definitely needed a little Christmas joy.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Good luck with HoHoHRAT, it’s too early for me to think about Christmas yet!
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks. It’s never to early to think about Christmas if you ask me. LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading!
I have the same issue with the whole week and not finishing what I want to do. I find making plans helps me get those things accomplished but I need to be flexible because urgent things happen also. It’s exciting when I do finish them.
I can’t read Christmas just yet, although it is getting colder here now. I have some planned for early December. Enjoy!

So true. Planning works best. But it’s hard at times, since I hate it when plans don’t work out.. and with a 15 month year old a lot of plans have to change at the last minute. LOL!! I wouldn’t have it any other way though.
Have a great week and happy reading!
<3 I hope this week is slower (in a good way!) for you!
Thanks Erica.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I was a single working mom and remember how tough that was. It made those little things with my son so special. Time sure does fly and I hope you find some time for relaxing:)
Time really does fly. Our girl is getting so big. It seemed like only yesterday that she was born. Sigh..
Have a great week and happy reading!
