I can’t believe it’s already Sunday. If you ask me what I did this week, I honestly can’t tell you. I worked, I read.. sometimes so long that I barely slept. And I played with our girl. Luckily the weather is still good here, so we’re able to play outside. She loves it, and I love watching her. And today, it’s Mother’s day. I plan on playing with our girl all day. I love being her mom so much!
On the other hand, I miss my mom. It’s been just my mom and me for a long time, and we’re very close. I’m used to seeing her a lot. Not being able to see her now, because of Corona, is hard. It’s hard for everyone, even harder for those people who are sick and are dying.. but still.. This week it’s been hard.
I’ve been reading some pretty awesome books lately. And I’ve got some more great books waiting on me. I’m looking forward to getting some good reading time in this week.
I’ve been thinking on doing something to help us bloggers get more ‘likes’ on social media. Something like a weekly post with a linkup or something. It’s been bothering me how little people seem to see my Facebook posts for example. I’m still figuring things out though.
Stay safe my bookish friends!

You guys probably have heard the big news from Stephanie Meyer. I can’t wait and I’m so excited! The Twilight Saga has been one of my favorite series for a long time.

I am sorry to hear you are struggling with missing your mum this week – I miss my mum too, but she has lived a long way from me for some time now, so I guess I am a little more used to not seeing her all the time. However at least it has been good to enjoy the sunshine and time outside with your own little girl, and that you’ve had some fab books to get lost in. Take care and happy reading! 🙂
Thanks Jessica. The sunshine and the good weather of the last weeks have been great. I wouldn’t have known what to do if we weren’t able to go outside these days.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I feel like I’m the only one out there that isn’t excited about the new book and won’t read it.
But it’s always nice to see multiple people excited for a book and I will definitely read all your opinions on it.
No worries. I know there are people that aren’t excited about it. I think I’m excited enough for both of us. 😉
Stay safe and happy reading.
Happy mother’s day!
We are finally allowed to visit close family since last week. But sadly, mine are in another country!
I hope everything settles down soon.
Count me in for the facebook promotion thing.
Thanks Gayathri. I’m sorry to hear you aren’t able to visit your family easily. My mom only lives five minutes by car from here. So when the day comes that we’re allowed to see each other.. I think I’ll run there. LOL!
Stay safe and happy reading.
Enjoy your mother/daughter time with your daughter. Wish you could see your mother. I feel the same about my grown kids, although we’ve done FaceTime and Skype.
Happy Mother’s Day, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Thank you Laurel. Skype and Facetime are great.. but it also makes you realise how good it is to be able to see people in reallife.
Stay safe and happy reading.
Happy Mother’s Day! I am lucky my daughter lives with me. My mom is several states away so I am more used to being away from her.
Take care and happy reading!

Happy Mother’s Day Anne.

Happy Mothering Sunday, Maureen. I miss my mother – and my daughter and grandchildren very very much… I hope you manage to get sufficient rest this coming week and that it is a safe one for you all. Have more lovely playdays with your daughter!
Happy Mother’s day to you too Sarah. It’s definitely a hard time.. especially on days like these.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I definitely understand missing your mom. Mine is usually at our house half the week, and now we’ve only seen her once (outdoors) in the past two months. It’s very sad!
Crazy right. Seeing someone every day, and now only being able to see them by skype or from a far. It’s definitely hard.
Stay safe and happy reading.
It is hard! As this drags on it becomes harder and harder too, the isolating and not seeing people. Just awful. Happy Mother’s Day to you though and hope you have a nice one with your daughter!
Hope you have a great week!
Thank you Greg. And so true. It’s getting harder every day.
Stay safe and happy reading.
Glad you’re getting quality time with your little one, sorry to hear you can’t see your mom because of the COVID business. It’s scary stuff. I miss seeing my family as well, I did finally get to see my sister and her kids yesterday and it was a treat because I’ve missed them so much! My little nephew is growing so fast and I missed over two months of it now and she lives about 15-20 minutes away from my mom and me. So it’s been rough in that sense.
Yay for new reads though! Those are all new to me ones. I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I’m so glad to read you’ve been able to see your sister again. That must have been great. It’s crazy to think how for granted I took everything before this corona pandemic.
Stay safe and happy reading.
Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you had a nice day with your daughter. 🙂 We’ve watched movies today and played several board and card games. It’s been relatively quiet, but perfect. I know my mom will be down here in a flash when she’s allowed to come again. She really misses us. I am glad you have been reading some great books as of late. I have been reading a little more than I was, which is nice. Still not a lot, but it’s better. One step at a time. I hope you have a great week. Stay safe and well.
Thanks Wendy. We sure had a fun and relaxing day.
I’m glad you’ve been able to read a little more.
Stay safe and happy reading.
Definitely curious about Midnight Sun. Enjoy your new books.
So exciting. I can’t wait to get my hands on that book.
Happy reading.
I had my mom over for dinner tonight… but at a distance. We were able to eat and visit but we stayed outside and stayed apart. It was the best we could do. How great that you received Fight for Me! I love Corinne Michaels and the first book in the series was so good. I’m excited for this new one!
Sounds like a great mother’s day in these circumstances. 😉
I also loved the first book in the Arrowood Brothers series, so I’m super excited about Fight For Me.
Stay safe and happy reading.
