Last weekend our little girl started having this strange cough and ended up having Covid. Fortunately she didn’t have any other signs, and she still felt fine. But we kept her home for a few days. Strangely enough the rest of our family stayed negative throughout the week, even though our girl is only four and we obviously can’t social distance. I don’t get this virus at all, but.. no complaining from me!
The week flew by again and I’ve been preparing for the upcoming week. (Squeeeeeeel!!!) Today, Saturday, I decorated our home for Christmas, since I won’t have the time in the next few days. On Sunday my grandma will come over to help prepare for Monday, when we celebrate ‘Sinterklaas’ with our kids and family. On Tuesday and Wednesday I’ll have two very busy days at work. And on Thursday morning really early (7 a.m.), my best friend and I will fly to London for four days. I’m sooooo excited. I won’t be back until Sunday late in the evening, so I’ll take a little break on my blog for at least a week. Maybe there will be some prepared posts, depends on how much time I got left.. but I wont be able to visit you guys. I’ll catch up when I’m back! (I you want to know what I’m up too, follow me on Instagram @maureensbooksblog).
To end this week perfectly I won a $15 Amazon GC. Happy me!!
Have a great week lovely people!

Sounds like you’ve got a fun week ahead. Enjoy your London trip!
Oh goodness, sorry to hear your little one got Covid! Thank goodness it wasn’t any worse – and that no one else in the family got it! What a relief.
Hooray for the Amazon gift card win! How fun!
Hope you have a fantastic time in London – can’t wait to hear about (and see pics!).
Sorry to hear about your little one catching Covid. That’s got to be rough. My little niece and nephew were sick the week before last and because I was visiting them, I caught their crud. But apparently my sister’s kids no longer like to take medicine so they were just miserable. I take my medicine and I am still miserable so I guess it really doesn’t matter what you do! Lol. My cough is still lingering today and it’s a pain in the butt as I will feel fine then have a hacking fit all of a sudden. Hoping it’s on its way out because I am done with it! Lol.
Hope you have a fantastic time on your trip this year! I hope you post lots of pics! London is a place I’d love to visit if I ever have the money for it!
Nice new reads too! Totally new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I hope the little one feels better soon! I’m glad she’s not too sick. COVID kicked my butt when I caught it. Have tons of fun in London!
haha yeah covid is a weird one for sure. I mean some ppl get it bad but I don’t lol and most ppl I know have worst allergies. So its strange how it affects ppl so differently. Its not like the flu or common cold or anything which are the same symptoms for everyone.
I love seeing that you added a Laura Pavlov to your shelves. Isn’t that cover so pretty? I love it.
I’m glad your little girl wasn’t too sick with Covid. I’ll be very excited to hear more about your London trip. I’m also looking forward to your Thrifty Thursday reads over the year.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

Covid is so weird, you just never know, but thank goodness it sounds like she had it mild and no one else got it. that’s great! And have a great trip to London!!
I can’t wait to read Only Mine. I hope you loved it!
I like the sound of The Thrifty Thursday Challenge. I might join it.
