This week has been a good one. Although baby girl had the chicken pox, she luckily didn’t feel sick or itchy at all. That definitely made me a happy mommy! On Tuesday I brought baby girl to her new sitter, and I spend a day at home all by myself.. It was the first time I did that since she was born almost 1.5 year ago. Although taking baby girl away when I don’t have to work is hard for me, I was proud of myself I did that and had a fun day blogging, reading and doing some uninterrupted laundry. LOL!! I definitely felt a little more like myself after that day. For the new year I’m trying to take a little better care of me instead of taking care of everyone except myself. So far so good!
On Wednesday I had to work and on Thursday baby girl and I spend the morning at the zoo together. It was really quiet there and we had a very fun time. On Friday I had to work again. And today, Saturday, baby girl and I are doing some homework. My husband is doing some work for my uncle and will be back in the afternoon. And after that.. it’s ladies night! I’m going to the movies with a girlfriend and after that we’re going to eat some Sushi. Yummy! I’m excited!!
This week has been pretty good reading and blogging wise too. I managed to finish two books, and I visited most of you guys for the last Sunday Post. My new passion planner is doing its thing so far. Love it!

Glad it was a good week! I think people definitely have to make time for themselves at times, life can be so busy. Hope you’re having a good weekend!!
Thanks Greg. It was definitely good to have some ‘me’ time.
I hope your week has been going great. 😉

I agree that taking time to look after yourself is super important so I’m glad to hear you had some “me” time. 🙂
You sound like you’ve had a great week so I hope you have another one this week!
Thanks Nicci. I’m really happy I did that too.. I felt much better after taking some me time. 😀
Happy reading!
Glad to hear that you had a good week and are making yourself a priority! Enjoy your books and week ahead 🙂
Thanks Danica. It’s kind of funny how difficult it is for me to take care of myself.. but taking care of others comes so easily. LOL!
Happy reading.
Self care is definitely something I have to focus on more as a mom! It’s so easy to get caught up taking care of everyone but yourself.
Have a great week and Happy reading!
So true! Taking care of yourself is definitely the hardest. But I’m learning how important that is.. slowly. LOL!
Happy reading!
Oh no for chicken pox! But I’m glad you still had a good week. 🙂
Thanks Jennifer. Happy reading!
It sounds like an amazing week to me! I’m so glad you are choosing to take some time for yourself, everyone needs that. I hope to get more of it once I am done with the unpacking / house projects and it is getting close.
Love your book haul! I got Almost Just Friends on audio. Have a wonderful week!

I’m glad she’s recovered from the Chicken Pox so quickly. Enjoy your night out!
Wishing you a great reading week
I’m really glad about that too.. I was afraid it would be this big thing. Luckily it wasn’t.
Happy reading!
I’m glad it’s a good week and I’m delighted that the baby sailed through chicken pox so well. I hope you had a lovely Ladies Night – quite right too:). Have a great week, Maureen.
Thanks. Ladies Night was definitely very nice! 😉
Happy reading.
Sometimes you need that break for yourself. I am glad you enjoyed your day! I know it can be hard to do. I am also glad the baby is feeling better after her bout with the chicken pox. I hope you enjoy your new books! I am eager to read Shalvis’ Almost Just Friends. Have a great week, Maureen!
Thanks Wendy. It was definitely good. And I’m trying to take a little more me-time again soon.
I hope you had a good week. 😉
Sorry baby girl has the chicken pox. I’ve never had them myself, but I’ve heard it’s highly uncomfortable. At least she’s handling it well. Hope you have a great week!
Chicken pox can definitely be bad. I’ve had them when I was very young, so I can’t really remember. But I know they can itch like crazy.. I’m so glad she sailed through it so well.
Happy reading.
Doing uninterrupted laundry sounds excellent. I remember what that was like. Everything takes forever with a baby. I hope you have a good week!
So true.. Ever since our baby girl was born things take more time.. and I get a lot of things done at night when she is sleeping. :D:D I wouldn’t change it though..
Happy reading.
I’m happy she didn’t have all of the usual complications that come with chicken pox. And it is important to make time for yourself. I hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks Laura. I’m so happy about that too.
Happy reading.
