This week has flown by, and I’m not even sure why because I can’t really remember what it was we did. LOL! My husband has been at home for almost two weeks now, because of a back injury. He is the kind of guy that can’t sit still for long, and is always working and doing stuff. And now he can barely sleep without having pains. It’s horrible to witness really. Because he has been at home, we’ve been staying with him mostly. And since I’m really a ‘home’ person, I haven’t minded at all. I spend time with our kids, I read, I blogged, I spent time on my Instagram page and that’s pretty much it. Ow.. and not to forget.. I won a Amazon GC!! I’m so excited!!
On Wednesday and Thursday I had to work. And this weekend I’m working again (so I’m writing this on Friday). It’s crazy to think that after working this weekend I only have to work one more weekend in December. I do have to work until the end of December, but no weekends anymore.. and then I’m starting my new job with only regular hours and days in January. I’m so excited!
Unfortunately the Covid numbers are getting pretty bad again over here. So only a few weeks after losing all restrictions such as wearing masks, and keeping our distance from one another, we are back with wearing masks and keeping our distance. Honestly I had trouble with the whole not wearing masks anymore, because the virus is still very much here. So I definitely saw this coming. We also have to show our vaccine card at more places now. As a nurse, I’m totally behind it.. but it has also been leading to a lot of discussions. And I’m so over it!

There’s so much fighting here in the US over vaccine mandates it’s crazy. I don’t really see the issue myself (vaccines= good?) but a lot of people do I guess. I’m sorry to hear numbers are bad there again.
Congrats on the GC! And hope your husband is feeling better soon.
Stay well!
I don’t get it at all either Greg. I definitely can’t understand the people who don’t get vaccinated.
Have a great week and happy reading.
My husband is the same way and so far he’s been lucky to never have had a health issue that required a lot of rest and down time. When he had his gallbladder removed a few years ago I thought I was going to need to sedate him to get enough rest to heal and that was only for a few days. Back injuries are the absolute worst and I hope your husband is healing and will be back on his feet soon. The Covid debates are driving me crazy as well. I can understand some of the debates regarding mandates (I don’t agree but I at least see what they’re saying sometimes) but most of the time what I hear are insane conspiracy theories or just general nonsense. Stay safe and sane and have a great week!
Thanks Katherine. We are going to the doctor tomorow. Lets hope things get better soon.
Ugh.. yes those conspiracy theories are so insane. I can’t deal with those.
Happy reading.
I am sorry to hear about your husband’s back injury – I pray he will heal and be able to sleep without the pain soon. 🙏 Take care, happy reading and all the best with starting your new job. 🙂
Thank you so much Jessica.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Sorry to hear about your husbands back issues. I hope things get better for him. Yay for not having to work weekends anymore. That was part of the reason I took on my new job, I worked almost every weekend in my old position. Congrats on the GC. Have a great week!
Thanks SJ. Yes, I’m definitely really excited about not having to work night shifts and weekends anymore soon. 😀
Happy reading.
We got our vax and so did our family, but so many are fighting it due to misinformation and Facebook doctors.
Yes. We all got them too. But it’s scary to see how many people think getting vaccinated is a bad thing.
Happy reading.
Hope the hubby feels better soon. Enjoy your newbies.
Thank you
You must be getting excited to have time off and then the new work. I had that injury at the beginning of the year and didn’t improve until I had physical therapy. I hated it, so I hope he rebounds quickly. We’re vaccinated and had our booster and we never stopped wearing masks when we went out. I think there is a long road ahead on this because of the misinformation.

I totally agree with you. I wish it was different.. but to many people seem to believe the bad stuff. I’m fully vaccinated. And when we get offered a booster, I’m definitely getting that one too.
Have a great week and happy reading.
