Another week has flown by and what a great week it has been. We spend this last week of my maternity leave with our little family and it has been magical. The weather was great, almost too hot, and it was just pretty damn perfect. We spend a lot of time in our garden, we visited the zoo again and this indoor children’s play center, we went to a lake and just had a lot of fun.
On Thursday we took both our kids to daycare, and spend a few hours in the city shopping and having lunch together. It was just the two of us and so nice. We can’t even remember when we had time together without kids so we really needed this. We are determined to have a ‘date’ more often and not once every year (or two). And I finally got to visit a bookshop again! So nice… Sigh..
I posted two giveaways this week to ‘celebrate’ the end of my maternity leave and to thank you guys for sticking with me. One giveaway is here on my blog, and the other on my Instagram page so go check it out. 😉
So.. Tomorrow it’s really happening. I’ll be going back to work. I’m both excited and anxious. It will be a very early morning since it will be the first time I’ll have to be in the car with two kids by 06.30 a.m. But I have a plan, so hopefully things will go smooth. And I’m just not thinking about leaving my little girl and baby boy with the sitter. Let’s see if I still know how to be a nurse after 6 months. LOL!
How are you guys? What have you been reading?

Really love the covers this week! Bad Apple especially looks interesting.
Thank you. I’m excited to start reading that one.
Sounds like a wonderful week with your family and your daughter looks like a mini version of you! 😊 I’ve sadly still had some anxiety this week with my job uncertainty, but I have taken comfort in reading The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis and watching classic Star Trek films. 😁
Take care, happy reading and good luck with your return to work. 🙂
Thank you Jessica. I’m sorry to read your work situations hasn’t improved much yet. I’m glad you some distractions though 😉
Have a great week and happy reading.
Best of luck this week. My daughter is returning to work too after 6 months. It sounds like you had an awesome time with your fam.
Thanks Kimberly. Time has flown by right?!
Good luck with going back to work tomorrow! Life does have a tendency to keep moving on, doesn’t it. Glad you had such a lovely time with your family!
Take care of yourself.

Mareli & Elza
Thank you Mareli. Happy reading 😉
Glad you had a nice last week of leave! Hope your plans for getting ready tomorrow go smoothly too!
Nice new reads too! All new to me ones but I recognize Abbi Glines’ name! She wrote a paranormal NA series some years back and I loved it, but it seems she left that genre behind as I have not seen anything from her in that light. Hope you enjoy all the new reads!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Thanks Jessica. This is definitely a very different read by Abbi Glines.
