This week has been a crazy busy week! You should have seen our home this morning. It was horrible and a big mess. I’m one of those ‘freaks’ who vacuums every single day.. Well not this week and it was terrible. But I fixed it this morning! LOL!
And do you know what the weird thing is? I can’t even tell you why is has been so busy. It just really was. I had to work Tuesday till Friday and although I had fun at work I also feel exhausted after four days of work. Probably because being a working mom is definitely challenging at times. Waking early, making sure you look decent, getting the little girl out of bed, making sure she is decent, getting her to eat and all that before it’s even 06.30 a.m. It has been a challenge this week. Probably because she is definitely finding out her own will at the moment.
At nights I’ve been busy arranging stuff for our little girls second birthday party on August 2nd. I have to work a lot next week including the weekend, so I thought it would be best for me to prepare some stuff early.
Book wise I have had a little tiny book slump. I’ve been reading a lot of three star reads, and although they are fun.. I’m in need of being swept away by my book. Hopefully this will happen this week.
Blogging wise I’ve been busy working on preparing Maureen’s Books Book Club. There are only 14 days to go before it starts and I’m super excited. (You can still sign up here if you like!)
I hope you guys are doing well!

Looks like you have some good ones to get you out of the reading slump. Have an easier week and happy reading.
Thanks 😉
Some weeks are just crazy busy and when you look at them nothing actually happened. I know that feeling. I agree about the daily vacuuming. My dog sheds like crazy, so I got one of those roomba-type vacuums and it helps a lot. Hopefully your newest books will be 5-star reads <3 Happy reading!
That vacuum sounds amazing. I still have an ‘old’ one..
Have a great week and happy reading.
That sounds too hectic, I hope you have some downtime scheduled.. I am really excited for the book club too.
I’ll hope you’ll like my August pick 😉
Happy reading.
Yes – I think being a working mother of a little one must be exhausting. I’ve watched my daughter do it and am humbly grateful that I could afford to stay home when my two were young. Have a good week, Maureen.
Being a mom and being able to have a career is nice.. but at times it’s definitely hard.
Have a great week and happy reading.
It sounds like you have had a busy time. I hope you get a break.
Have a great week.
Thanks Heather.

Thanks Jessica. Unfortunately this one has been very busy as well. But better times are ahead 😉
Have a great week and happy reading.
It’s hard when you work more days in a row. Haha I vacuumed finally and it had been a month. Which is terrible. But when we didn’t have AC I just couldn’t get myself to do it.
I hope you find a book which blows you away. I feel fortunate I have had such great reads 4-5 heart books. Have a lovely week! Stay safe and be kind.

I have to vacuum a lot too. Between the toddler and the dog, this place is always gross. I can relate to your exhaustion! I hope you have a great week!
Thanks AJ.
