This week has definitely been revolved around the US elections, like probably many of your weeks. I’ve been watching closely to what has been happening and I couldn’t be more excited to see that Joe Biden won. I sure hope Trump isn’t going to be to much trouble and just step down. He definitely isn’t a popular person around here and I’m happy for my US friends with their new president. Now I’m finally able to get some sleep again. LOL!
I worked three days this week. And since our country is pretty close to a total lock down again, there’s not much we can do but stay home. So we’ve been at home, trying to make the days fun for our little girl. We baked cupcakes and played in the garden and we’ve been just enjoying our time together as a family.
Our little boy’s room is turning out great. The painting is done, the furniture is cleaned and on the right spot.. and slowly on I’m washing clothes and putting everything in it’s place. Physically things have been getting harder this week. My back has been hurting a lot more and I’ve been having more stomach tightening’s this week. I only have 7.5 weeks of work left, because I will stop working at my 30 week pregnancy on advice of my midwife, and I really hope I’ll be able to keep going until then. We’ll see I guess.
I hope you guys are doing well! Stay safe and happy reading!

I’ve been really feeling for all the people in the US since Trump got elected. There were a lot of devastated people on my Facebook timeline back then. I’ve lived in Chicago for 3 months, so a lot of my friends are still in the US. I’ve been following the elections and I’m so happy for all of you 🙂
Yes, I’m definitely happy for the US too. And as a nurse, it’s really irritating to watch that guy talk about Covid-19!
Stay safe, and happy reading.
I agree with you about the whole Biden winning thing, even though I don’t live in the US I still feel happy for everyone haha.
I’m coming out of lockdown tomorrow after around 8/9 weeks so I hear you! It’s hard finding things to do especially to keep little ones entertained. My nephew (he’s 5 and lives with me) has been such a star throughout all this.
Stay Safe 🙂 x
Wow.. Lockdown for 8/9 weeks? Your a star! We are in partial lockdown, but since I’m a nurse and still have to go to work I don’t notice it that much. Restaurants have closed again two weeks ago, and last week they also closed zoo’s, theaters etc. again. This year is definitely unreal!
I’m glad to read your nephew has been doing well! My daughter is too, she also just doesn’t notice the facemasks. Weird to realize this is her normal.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I think many, many people are glad that Trump is finally out, I’m one of them !
Ah yes, back pains, I remember… I’m glad you’re able to enjoy time with your little girl, take care, relax and stay safe when you can 😉
Back pains are definitely not a good thing. But I keep reminding myself it’s for a great cause. And when the little boy is kicking.. I totally feel like it’s worth it! 😀
Stay safe and happy reading.
Maureen, f I am honest we have had too many of our own worries in the UK (we are now in our second lockdown) to worry or pay too much attention to the US election. I can’t say I liked either candidate, so glad it wasn’t me having to vote! All I can hope is that this result will help make a happier more harmonious US again.
Lovely to hear you have your nursery all decorated and set out how you want, and that you washing and nearly have everything ready. I have a cousin and friend both expecting babies in January, so it has been nice to see them getting ready, too. I hope your back won’t get any worse and that you’ll be able to work to date you’ve set. Take care and happy reading! 👋📚🙂
I’m so sorry about the second lockdown. I’ve heard it here. We are still in partial lockdown, and things are slowly getting better if you believe the numbers. In the hospitals we don’t really notice it all that much yet. I hope things get better for you there soon too.
That’s so nice that you’re able to witness your cousin and friend preparing for their baby. It’s definitely a special thing.
Stay safe and happy reading.
OMG! I had no idea you were pregnant again! Congratulations… This is what happens when I go awol, lol, I miss all the good stuff. How exciting!. 🙂
In the UK, we’re back in lockdown already. It’s not as strict as the first time around but it still sucks. 🙁
LOL!! Thank you Nicci. 23 weeks now. It’s definitely exciting!
I hope things get better soon in the UK! We are in partial lockdown, but for me as a nurse, things haven’t changed that much.
Stay safe and happy reading.
That’s nice you tried to have some fun at home with baking cupcakes and such. We’re staying home as much as possible too. Sorry to hear about your back pain due to the pregnancy. Hopefully those last few weeks of your pregnancy go smoothly. That’s good news the room for your little boy is almost done. I hope you’ll have a great week.
Thank you Lola. It’s all worth it though.. in the end. 🙂
Have a great week, stay safe and happy reading.
The American election has dominated the news here though I’m sure coronavirus will take over next week.
That’s good to hear you are getting organised for the baby, I remember the back pain with both of mine, it drove me crazy but the babies at the end of it made up for it!
Definitely! It has been a nice mix of US elections vs Coronavirus. LOL!
The babies definitely make up for the back pain. Everytime I feel like screaming.. the baby boy kicks and I feel like everything is totally worth it. I definitely try to enjoy it, even if I’m hurting.
Stay safe and happy reading.
Glad that you and your family are doing well! Have a great week!
Thanks Ronyell. Stay safe and happy reading.
I’m so happy with Biden/Harris for the election result. Now if Trump would just get over it. Personally, we have just stayed on sort of lockdown since March. We only do pickups or drive-thru. I hope you feel better soon and can get to the 30 weeks working.

LOL!! Yes, that Trump guy is really something else. How stubborn can you be? Crazy.
I’m glad to read you’re staying safe. 😉
Happy reading.
I am happy with the election results too. I do worry the current president will not go out nicely. He doesn’t take losing well. And unfortunately, there are enough people in power who support him still who will only add fuel to the fire. But it’s nice to have hope again.
I hope you have a great week! Happy Reading.
Trump definitely doesn’t seem to be a good loser. Crazy how a guy with that status can act so childish.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I think the next two months are going to be quite ugly until Biden takes office. But at least there is an end in sight. The last four years have been terrible but I am so hopeful that Biden can un-do much of the damage that has been done.
I’m sorry to hear that physically you are still dealing with some pain. I hope the next several weeks of working going okay until you can get more rest at home.
Thanks Tanya. I really can’t wait to be able to rest more.
Stay safe and happy reading.
I’m glad you’re staying busy in lockdown. Good luck with the rest of your work and pregnancy. Have a good week!
Thank you Aj.
Stay safe and happy reading.
