It’s been a crazy last two weeks. I’ve been working a lot and I just had to take a little blogging break this week. For someone who works part-time, which is three days a week for me.. I’ve been working nine days in the last two weeks and I’ve been just exhausted when I came home. We also had some stuff done in our house. Our floor was fixed downstairs, and we got solar panels through my husband’s work. Combine that with cleaning after those work guys, visiting a girlfriend, taking care of our little girl and spending at least a view hours with my husband.. It all just made for a very busy two weeks. So I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to visit you guys on your blogs. I will make up for it this week!! After this weekend I’ll only have to work the upcoming Tuesday and Wednesday, so that’s much better.
How have you guys been? How are things going revolving Covid-19 on your end of the world? Here everybody seems to be going back to normal.. even though restaurants aren’t opening their doors until this Monday. It’s been getting more crowded outside for sure. I’ve had two traffic jams this week. Crazy!!
Stay safe my bookish friends!

Just reading about what you’ve been doing made me feel tired! You have had a lot going on in the last week! Although, I love that you guys got solar panels! It’s something Jacob and I want when we eventually buy a house. We haven’t seen the point since we move every few years for his job. Fingers crossed this week is more restful for you! 🙂

Thanks Lindi. This week has been much better. I still haven’t been able to catch up as much as I’d like.. But I’m getting there. Slowly..
I totally get why you didn’t get solar panels if you’re still moving a lot. It’s a big investment.
Happy reading!
I am just worried about the second surge that everyone has been warning us about. And opening the doors without a good plan is the worst.
But taking a break from the blog is a good thing. I hope you are well rested and can get back to it soon.
I totally agree. So far things are still good here. But I’m scared to be too hopefull to be honest.
Happy reading.
Good grief, Maureen, don’t apologise for not blogging! Real life should ALWAYS take priority.
We’ve had solar panels heating our water for about a decade now. Although it was an expense to put them in, we’ve definitely recouped our costs – during the summer our water is heated solely by the panels. Our electricity bills are practically non-existent!
I’m happy that the Covid19 restrictions are being relaxed but we still don’t have a vaccine.
You’re so right Flora. I’m to harsh on myself I guess.
I hope you’re safe and healthy.
Happy reading.
Hey Maureen, sorry to hear it has been such a busy, tiring two weeks for you. I really hope the coming week is a more peaceful and restful one for you. I am okay and had a good week, thank you. As for the lockdown here, they are just starting to ease measure, so we can spend more time outside, meet one up with one person not from our household and primary schools and more shops will be opening from tomorrow. Take care and happy reading! 🙂
Thanks Jessica. This week has been much better.. I haven’t catched up as much as I’d hoped though.. But I have plans for tomorrow!! So it will be better!! LOL!
Happy reading.
Things have been really opening up here too. Even in areas where things HAVEN’T opened yet… it just seems like people are doing whatever anyway! I guess people are fed up and ready to move on, but I hope it doesn’t have bad consequences. Anyway all we can do is be careful!
Solar panels sound awesome! Hope those work out well. I’d love to have something like that. Being able to utilize solar power just seems so smart!
Take care this week and be well!
I hear you!! I really hope it doesn’t have bad consequences too. I went grocery shopping today and things where crazy. People everywhere!
Happy reading.
Well no wonder you are exhausted. I hope that was a bit of a short-term situation. I hope to get some solar when my roof is redone in a couple years. Everything is starting to open but I’m not doing it. We are staying home.
Stay safe and well!

Glad you were able to find the time for friends and family. Blogging should come when it comes! I always believe blogging should be fun and never feel like an obligation, so take whatever time away you need!

Stay safe and happy reading.
Working 9 days in a row had to be hard on all of you. Hope things ease up soon. Never feel guilty for putting you and family first 🙂
Thank you Kimberly. I’m to hard on myself at times. I know this.. but I keep doing it. LOL!
Happy reading!
I’ve been working a lot too. And it’s very strange when during this time a lot of people worked less. Yep, stuff over here is slowly going back to normal too, but my country was among the lucky ones, so thank god. I hope you are doing well over there!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been working so much too. But I guess we should be grateful to have a job, when so many have lost their jobs. But sometimes we are allowed to complain too right?! 😉
Stay safe and happy reading.
