She’s the wife he never wanted…and the weakness he never saw coming.
Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant.
Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally.
The billionaire CEO never planned to marry—until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows.
Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy.
It doesn’t matter how beautiful or charming she is. He'll do everything in his power to destroy the evidence and their betrothal.
There’s only one problem: now that he has her...he can't bring himself to let her go.
***Elegant. Ambitious. Well-mannered.
Vivian Lau is the perfect daughter and her family’s ticket into the highest echelons of high society.
Marrying a blue-blooded Russo means opening doors that would otherwise remain closed to her new-money family.
While the rude, elusive Dante isn't her idea of a dream partner, she agrees to their arranged marriage out of duty.
Craving his touch was never part of the plan.
Neither was the worst thing she could possibly do: fall in love with her future husband.

After finishing the Twisted series, I was so exited to learn about this new series by Ana Huang. So when I finally got the opportunity to start reading I dived right in.

In ‘King of Wrath’ we meet Vivian and Dante. Vivian is the daughter of a self-made jeweler and she definitely is the perfect daughter. Vivian has learned to always do what her parents expect from her. Even if this isn’t necessarily something you’d want. For example an husband. Vivian has always known that one day her parents would tell her who she needed to marry. But she definitely didn’t expect it to be Dante Russo.

Dante is one of the richest CEO’s, and definitely not someone you easily come in contact with. Dante lives for his work, and he never wanted a wife. But when he is forced to get engaged to Vivian he slowly starts to see that Vivian might be different.

‘King of Wrath’ was an easy to read story that I enjoyed right from the start. The two main characters are very different, and it was fun to get to know them by reading the story through both there eyes. Vivian was a bit frustrating at times, because I simple just couldn’t understand why she put up with the things her parents did. But on the other hand I admired her family loyalty. I for one would never be as loyal as she was.

Dante’s character was fun just because he was so rude and arrogant. I loved how he worked hard, and how he didn’t seem to understand these feelings he developed from the moment he met Vivian. Vivian was so different than what he expected her to be, and I enjoyed reading those moments through his point of view.

Although this story was a bit predictable, I loved it. I loved the chemistry and romance between Vivian and Dante and I definitely didn’t want this story to end. It took some time for Vivian and Dante to get closer, but I enjoyed their little banters.

‘King of Wrath’ definitely made me want for more. And I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
