After reading the previous books in the Twisted series, I was super excited to read ‘Twisted Lies’. Every book in this series is a standalone, but every books main character is a woman from this close group of friends. So I already knew this book was going to be about Stella. And after reading a little bit about her in the previous books, I was so excited to read her story. So when I received the ARC, I dived right in.

In ‘Twisted Lies’ we meet Stella and Christian. Stella is this social media influencer, fashion lover and introvert. So enjoys spending time with her best friends, but she also loves being alone. For a few months now, Stella is renting an apartment at Christian Harpers building. Christian is a handsome billionaire who doesn’t seem to be a very nice guy to most. But he always seems to be kind of nice to Stella. So when Stella finds herself in danger, Christian is the one that makes sure she is safe.

‘Twisted Lies’ was definitely a great slow burn romance. I loved Stella and Christian right from the start. Stella’s character especially was someone I loved. A social media influencer and introvert. Definitely my kind of person. And I enjoyed reading about her. Throughout the previous books, Stella’s character was the one that stayed the most mysterious and I enjoyed every moment of getting to know her better.

And then there is Christian. Boy did I love him. His character oozed danger and anger. But whenever Stella was involved he became this much sweeter person. The best part of this read was definitely how we got to read the story of Stella and Christian through both their point of views. And I loved reading Christian’s point of view the most. He was just so cute. He definitely doesn’t seem to be on the outside, but there was a lot of good in him even though he hides it from most people.

Just as in the other books in this series, Christian’s character was a bit dark. Not something I necessarily love, but it’s impressive that the author made the story so good that it didn’t bother me at all. The romance and chemistry between Stella and Christian was just amazing, and I definitely lost a few hours of sleep over this read.

‘Twisted Lies’ was another great read. And I’m definitely sad to see this series ending. But boy am I excited to read the next book Ana Huang writes. I just love her books so much! I’d definitely recommend ‘Twisted Lies’ if you’re looking for a fun, sexy, romantic and intense read.
