My marriage started as a lie.
But some lies are worth telling.
My father’s dying wish was to walk me down the aisle, and I’d do anything for him.
Even marry a man I don’t love.
So when my fiance jilts me only days before the ceremony, I turn to my college friend, Oliver Parkerson, and convince him to marry me.
My family hasn’t met either man, so I’m confident we can pull this off.
But the feelings, our touches, the way my heart beats for him... none of it feels pretend. The way he holds me at night and carries me through loss tells me he’s not acting either.
I didn't mean to fall for my fake husband, but real love was the one thing I couldn't predict.
Except, nothing built on lies can last—I know that better than anyone.
But the truth might tear us apart forever.

I just love Corinne Michaels, and I’ve been reading her book for a while now. ‘A Chance For Us’ is book four in the standalone Willow Creek Valley Series, and since I loved all the previous books, I was super excited to read this one.

In ‘A Chance For Us’ we meet Oliver and Maren. Maren’s father is dying, and his last wish was to walk Maren down the aisle. Luckily for Maren the guy she is seeing asks her to marry her. But unfortunately only a few weeks before the big day, the guy decides to break things off. Devastated, but not because of losing the guy, Maren asks her college friend Oliver to ‘fake’ marry her so she can give her father his latest wish.

Oliver is done with love. But when Maren asks his help he just can’t deny her. And soon the fake wedding starts to feel more and more real.

When I read the part about a fake wedding I didn’t really know what to expect. But from the moment I started reading Maren and Oliver’s story I was hooked. Although a bit strange, I could totally understand Maren’s wishes in the end and I loved that Oliver decided to help her out. Sure, at times I wondered how on earth they could keep the fake wedding part a secret, but it was just believable enough to keep me hooked.

This book definitely had a lot hot and romantic moments, but also some very sad ones. Maren and Oliver where just perfect for each other. The chemistry between them was just amazing and I loved reading this story through both their point of views.

Another great part about this book for me was the fact we still get to read a little about the other Parkerson siblings. I love that we still get to see glimpses of the main characters of the other books in this series. And yes I mean glimpses, they are fun to read, but if you haven’t read the other books you can still easily read this one.

‘A Chance For Us’ was a great read that kept me hooked till the very last page. I’m really sad to leave this series behind, but can’t wait for what Corinne Michaels has up her sleeve next.
