I’ve been a Corinne Michaels fan for a while now. So when I got the opportunity to read the second book in the Willow Creek Valley series I got super excited. Especially since the story of Stella and Jack got me really excited after reading a little about them in the first book. So when this book arrived on my kindle, I dived right in.
Stella has loved her brothers best friend Jack for as long as she can remember. One night on Stella’s birthday they shared a kiss and Stella knew right away Jack was the one for her. Unfortunately Jack is determined to stay away from her ever since, even though they see each other regularly. But years of denying themselves love, is taking it’s toll. And Stella and Jack can’t seem to fight it any longer. But there are many secrets trying to find there way to the service.
This book definitely had a twist I didn’t see coming at all. It made for a very fun, interesting and touching read. From the moment I started reading, I couldn’t stop because I just really wanted to know how things would end up.
The chemistry between Stella and Jack is definitely the best part of this book if you ask me. I loved reading about these two. They have loved each other for so long, but never allowed themselves to go there. It made for some pretty sexy moments. Now they finally can’t deny there feelings anymore, there are lots of hurdles to get through. And it kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. And although I loved this book, it was not so much about the romance between Stella and Jack but more about their ‘secret’ I think. Not a bad thing, but definitely a little unexpected.
My favorite character was definitely Jack. I loved that guy so much. He was just so sweet and caring. And he really wanted to make sure Stella was happy. I did wish we got to read a little more about his character though. We now only read a little bit about his past, but I simple couldn’t get enough of Jack and wished we could have read more about him.
We also get to read a little about the other Parkerson siblings in this book, and I can’t wait to read their stories too.
I started reading Corinne Michaels books last year when I learned about the Arrowood Brothers series. I adored that series and devoured all four books. So when I learned about Corinne’s new Willow Creek Series, I knew I wanted to read that series as well. And I was lucky enough to get an ARC. And the best part? It’s kind of a spin off of the Arrowood Series.
In ‘Return To Us’ we meet Jessica Walker and Grayson Parkerson. Jessica and Grayson where high school lovers. Their relationship was one of those people talk about, and everyone thought they would end up marrying each other. But Jessica left Grayson and the small town of Willow Creek almost eighteen years ago. Now, after Jessica survives a plane crash with Jacob Arrowood, Jessica moves back home to heal and move on again as fast as possible. But when Jessica and Grayson see each other again, even after all these years their connection is still as strong.
I’ve been really curious about ‘Return To Us’ after reading about it and loving the Arrowood Brothers series so much. So I definitely had some high expectations about this book. And boy did Corinne deliver on that expectation. ‘Return To Us’ is definitely another great, romantic read that kept me hooked from the very first page.
The two main characters Jessica and Grayson where fun to get to know. They lost each other years ago, but they always kept thinking about each other. Now Grayson is a single dad, and Jessica feels scared and kind of lost after surviving a plane crash. From the moment they see each other again the chemistry between them flies of the pages. But there is definitely a lot of history between them that they need to resolve. And eighteen years is definitely a long time ago.
I loved reading about Jessica and Grayson slowly getting to know each other again. We also read about some moments in the past, and it was fun to get to know all of their story. But what I definitely loved the most about this read was the fact we also get to know more Parkerson siblings. And I can’t wait to read their stories too.
‘Return To Us’ was definitely a great start to a new series. I loved getting to know the small town of Willow Creek and can’t wait to read more.
