She’s his addiction. He’s her escape. Logan Hartson is gorgeous, successful, and has a smile that’ll knock a woman off her feet. And from the moment Courtney Roberts meets him on a dirt road, the chemistry sizzles between them. Everything about them is wrong. He’s city, she’s country. He owns expensive restaurants. She runs a small farm. None of that matters when they’re tangled together in her bed, his body promising things her heart shouldn’t want. Until people start to talk, and things get rough, and after one last, sweet night together they agree to part. She never thought she’d see him again. But nature has other plans. The serious kind. Now she just has to tell him the truth. So how do you tell somebody their life will never be the same again? She takes a deep breath, her wide eyes meeting his. “Logan, I’m pregnant.” *A Better Man is the third book in the Heartbreak Brothers series of emotional standalone romances, set in the small town of Hartson’s Creek. Find out why readers are falling in love with these handsome and brooding brothers! *

When I read about this third book in the Heartbreak Brothers series, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. I’ve loved the previous two books in the series, and I just loved the things I read about Logan Hartson in the previous books.  So when I received the ARC, I couldn’t wait to start reading.

In ‘A Better Man’ we meet Logan and Courtney. Logan is big in the restaurant business and he is in the middle of opening his 5th restaurant in the big city. He is a total workaholic and rarely spends time in his little hometown. But when he accidentally bumps into Courtney when he is visiting his hometown one day, his old hometown doesn’t sounds so bad anymore.

Courtney is a widow, and lives on a farm. Her life is totally different from Logan’s life. But when Logan and Courtney meet things change for the both of them. And although a relationship seems impossible for them, their attraction can’t be denied. And soon their lives are going to change even more.

From the moment I started reading I loved the story of Logan and Courtney. They both weren’t looking for a relationship, and they didn’t expect to feel the things they did. But their connection and attraction was so intense they soon both found themselves wanting to be together more and more. But both of them had a past that made it hard for them to open up. And I just loved reading about these moments between these two. Logan and Courtney are both very fun and kind characters, an although their lives are totally different, they just fitted together.

The one character I really disliked was Courtney’s brother in law Carl. What a horrible guy. I really didn’t like him and I thought Courtney was way too nice to him. In the beginning he just really had this vibe about him that made me want to hit something. Blegh.. what a creepy guy.

Throughout this book we also read a little more about Logan’s twin brother Cam, and I’m so excited to read more about him. I’ve never really read a lot about twins before. But I think the connection between twins is just super magical, and I can’t wait to read more.

The romance between Logan and Courtney was definitely intense. There was some huge chemistry between them, and their where plenty of sexy scenes that made this book a total page turner.

‘A Better Man’ was definitely another great book in the series. And I couldn’t have loved it more.

“You’re gonna be there for your kid, right?” His brother asked.

“Of course I am.” Logan was as surprised as Gray by the vehemence in his voice.

“What about the mom? You said it was casual. Does that mean you’re not a thing?”

Logan shook his head. “I asked her to marry me. She said no.”

His brother started to laugh.

“What?” Logan asked, his jaw twitching.

“One minute you’re telling me you don’t know what to do about the baby, that this thing was casual. The next minute you’re saying you asked her to marry you. I’m getting whiplash, bro.”

“Join the club,” Logan muttered. “It felt like the right thing to do.”

Check out my other reviews in the Heartbreak Brother’s series:

Carrie Elks writes contemporary romance with a sizzling edge. Her first book, Fix You, has been translated into eight languages and made a surprise appearance on Big Brother in Brazil. Luckily for her, it wasn’t voted out. Carrie lives with her husband, two lovely children and a larger-than-life black pug called Plato. When she isn’t writing or reading, she can be found baking, drinking an occasional (!) glass of wine, or chatting on social media.
