After reading and loving ‘Twisted Love’, the first book in the Twisted series a few weeks back, I was super excited to read ‘Twisted Games’. And luckily for me Ana was looking for some readers for her ARC team, and I got picked. I can’t even tell you excited I was and still am. So when I received ‘Twisted Games’ I started reading as fast as I could. Although ‘Twisted Games’ is part of a series, it’s a standalone novel and you can definitely read it as one.
In ‘Twisted Games’ we read the story of Bridget and Rhys. Bridget is a princess, trying to live a normal life and Rhys is her very arrogant and harsh bodyguard. From the moment Bridget and Rhys meet there is a lot of chemistry between these two. But since they really don’t like each other, they both deny it and don’t act on it. But some things you just can’t deny. And when Bridget’s life is turned upside down, Rhys is the one who is by her side through everything. But being a princess isn’t a fairytale, and Bridget’s life isn’t her own.
From the moment I started reading ‘Twisted Games’ I was hooked and I kept on reading way past my bedtime. I simple loved everything about this book and the two main characters Bridget and Rhys. They are so totally different, but I was rooting for them from the start. And I just love the Royal- bodyguard trope. It was so good!
Bridget’s character was definitely a fun one. She is very kind, smart and at times really funny. She is a princess, but she isn’t someone who takes advantage of that fact. All Bridget’s wants is to do normal stuff and spend times with her friends. But being royalty makes ‘being normal’ hard. I simple loved reading the chapters from her point of view.
But my absolute favorite character was Rhys. Handsome, strong, bossy and kind of rude.. What’s not to like about him? He is the best bodyguard out there. Why? Well, he doesn’t do feelings and he definitely doesn’t talk about his personal life. But from the moment Rhys and Bridget meet, she is under his skin. And the chapters we read from his point of view where my absolute favorite. The chemistry between these two was flying of the pages and I really couldn’t get enough of them.
‘Twisted Games’ was another great read I couldn’t put down. I loved this one even more than the first book, and I definitely can’t wait to read the next book. The best part about this series is that they are definitely standalones. But having read the first book too made this book even better.
If you’re looking for a sexy, funny, interesting, passionate romance novel.. Twisted Games is definitely for you. And well.. Who doesn’t love royalty and a very handsome bodyguard?
