Welcome to Maureen’s Books Wednesday’s
Favorites. In the
Wednesday’s Favorites post I will talk about a book I loved and that I
think
deserves a little more attention. I read popular books, but also many
books
that aren’t so popular (yet). In this post all sorts of books from all
sorts of
genre’s will have a chance to shine. Today’s Wednesday’s Favorites is
‘A Silent Prayer’ by Samreen Ahsan, a book I read in June 2014.
The Book:
Despite his many blessings, he is an atheist, though he has an altruistic soul.
He denies there is a God—until he meets a beautiful stranger in a place that
does not exist for anyone but him.
Rania Ahmed strongly believes in God, but has lost hope she will ever find her
soul mate. Endowed with hypnotic beauty and cursed by a brutal past, Rania has
no idea she has cast a spell on Adam, who has never received more from a woman
than physical pleasure. As Adam slowly discovers the true meaning of love from
Rania, he begins to face his demons and reconsider his beliefs. He learns to
love, forgive and repent. But as Adam grows closer to Rania, a series of
strange, unexplained events threatens to drive them apart. To keep her from
being destroyed by her past, he must persuade her to trust him with her deepest
secrets.
In this spiritual romance, an atheist embarks on a path of enlightenment with a
tormented soul who may just have the power to change everything he has ever
believed to be true.

Praise for ‘A Silent Prayer’:
emotional[y-charged, Samreen does an excellent job at hooking the reader, and
leaving them wanting more.
truly mind-blowing emotions portrayed so realistically. I can finally boast of
knowing what it is like to enjoy a true, pure and unadulterated romance.
HECK of a cliff hanger. But alas, there is a sequel, A Prayer Heeded, that I
can’t wait to dive into.
completely hooked. Samreen Ahsan is a very passionate writer and I quickly fell
in love with this story and the characters. I seriously couldn’t stop reading.
I wanted and needed to know what would happen next.
About the Author:
information about prophecies, divine miracles and paranormal events that are
mentioned in history and holy books, that don’t sound possible in today’s
modern world.
Since childhood, I have been into reading and writing—and yes, it can’t happen
without imagination, which luckily has no boundaries. Dance and music are also
pastimes I enjoy, as well as reading romance fiction. I love to travel and
explore historical cities.
“A Prayer Series” is my first story about paranormal events based on
Islamic concepts.

What an interesting premise! I admit it was more the author's comment about pairing paranormal with Islamic concepts that caught my interest the most though. I will have to look for this one.
This definitely was an interesting book. I was afraid I wasn't going to like it when I first started since I'm not religious at all.. But I loved it. It's a great read 😉
