https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23253662-his-wicked-seductionCan the Leaque’s most wicked rakehell be tamed? Or has this Rogue fallen too far?

Horatia Sheridan has been hopelessly in love with
Lucien, her brother’s best friend, ever since he rescued her from the broken
remains of her parents’ wrecked carriage. His reputation as London’s most
notorious rakehell doesn’t frighten her, for under his veneer of cool authority
she has glimpsed a man whose wicked desires inspire her own.

Lucien, Marquess of Rochester, has deliberately nurtured
a reputation for debauchery that makes every matchmaking mother of the ton
quake with fear. His one secret: he is torn between soul-ripping lust for
Horatia, and the loyalty he owes her brother.

That loyalty is put to the test when an old enemy of the
League threatens Horatia’s life. With Christmas drawing near, he sweeps her
away to his country estate, where he can’t resist granting her one wish—to
share his bed and his heart.

But sinister forces are lurking, awaiting the perfect
moment to exact their revenge by destroying not only whatever happiness Lucien
might find in Horatia’s arms, but the lives of those they love.

Warning: This book contains an intelligent lady who is
determined to seduce her brother’s friend, a brooding rake whose toy of choice
in bed is a little bit of bondage with a piece of red silk, a loyal band of
merry rogues and a Christmas love so scorching you’ll need fresh snow to
extinguish it.

My Review:

A view
months ago I read the first book in ‘The League of Rogues’ series ‘Wicked
Designs’. I seriously loved that book and I read it really fast. I loved the
historical romance genre and I loved all the ‘Leaque of Rogues’ men. Since
reading that book I joined Lauren’s Street Team on Facebook and I also read her
book ‘The Shadows of Stormclyffe hall’, which was also great by the way. So
when Lauren was asking for people who wanted to read the ARC of her second book
in ‘The League of Rogues’ series ‘His Wicked Seduction’ I couldn’t resist.
In ‘His
Wicked Seduction’ we meet Horatia Sheridan, a twenty year old girl who has been
in love with her brothers friend ever since he save her life many years ago.
Horatia knows her love will never be returned but still she can’t put Lucien
out of her mind.
Lucien
is one of ‘The League of Rogues’ and he has lived a life of sin. Lucien thirty
three years old and had been with many woman but lately he can’t keep his eyes
of his friend sister Horatia. Lucien tries everything to stay away from the
girl because of the rules ‘The League of Rogues’ has agreed upon years ago. But
Horatia isn’t making it easy for Lucien and soon he just can’t stay away
anymore.
What can
I say about ‘His Wicked Seduction’? Well, the title fits the story completely!
This second book in ‘The League of Rogues’ series is just as great and seducing
as the first book. From the moment I started reading about Horatia and Lucien I
completely fell in love with their story. There was just so much passion and
chemistry coming out of these pages that I didn’t know how to stop reading. I
seriously couldn’t put this book down.
What I
loved most about this book was definitely Lucien. His love for Horatia was
anything but easy and I could almost feel his struggles in denying his feelings
for her. I loved how Horatia and Lucien already had this long history of
knowing each other and how they always had been a part of each other’s life.
The
writing in this book was yet again very addicting, seducing but also really
funny at times. Lauren Smith is a great author and I’m thrilled to be a part of
her street team and to have the opportunity to read her books. I love her
writing and this book is yet again going on my favorite books list. ‘The League
of Rogues’ series is just so fun to read and I can’t wait for the next book.

About the Author:

Born and
raised in Tulsa, Lauren Smith spent the first twenty-two years of her life in
Oklahoma, bridging the worlds between urban girl and cowgirl. After high school
she attended Oklahoma State University where she earned Bachelor of Art degrees
in history and political science. Drawn to paintings in museums and obsessed
with antiques, she has satisfied her fascination with history by writing and exploring
exotic, ancient lands.

Over the years, Lauren’s studies have opened doors throughout the world. From
spending two summers at Cambridge to attending classes at such divergent places
as Ireland and Chengdu, China, she has discovered fascinating opportunities for
enrichment wherever she goes. After completing college, Lauren moved to
Michigan to attend law school at the University of Detroit-Mercy and University
of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Armed with two Juris Doctorate degrees from both
countries, she returned to Tulsa and became an intellectual property attorney.

Since third grade when her English teacher proposed that all students should
craft a story for a young writers’ conference, Lauren has been hooked on
writing. Her first self-illustrated manuscript described the mysterious
disappearance of rare brown bats that were being captured by scientists bent on
using them as carriers for an incurable disease. The immense sense of joy in
sharing that story with others, and discussing plots and characters, made it
clear to Lauren that writing was her true passion.
