Life:
This week
has been a busy one. On Monday I came out of the Nightshift, so I was able to
sleep for only three hours before I had to wake up again. I decided to get
paint for our living room. And since I sometimes lack any patience, especially
when I’m tired, I started painting two walls in our living room around 3.30
p.m. Let me tell you something.. Don’t go painting your walls when you’re tired
and just got out of the nightshift. The result was good, but I was super clumsy
and had to clean the floors even though I put some plastic sheets down. And I
definitely spilled more paint than is probably normal.

So why did
I paint our walls? Last Sunday my husband brought our agapornis a.k.a. lovebird
to his new home. And without his cage there, you could see how dirty our wall
was after having a little bird there for eight years. I was really sad about
having to say goodbye to our lovebird. But I know it’s for the best. We just
didn’t have enough time to clean his cage, and give him the attention he
deserved. And he was really loud in the mornings, which made my husband unable
to sleep long. We also have a cat, but it’s much easier to give him some
attention when we get home after a long day of work then a bird who is sitting
in its cage all day. I know it’s for the best.. but still.. I feel bad about
not being able to take care of him. But having a nice clean wall definitely is
a positive part.

The rest
of the week went by really quickly. I had lunch with my BFF on Tuesday. And
because the weather was so nice we were able to sit on a terrace for hours.
Loved it!!

I also had
to work four days, including this weekend and our nights were also pretty
booked. I can’t wait for Monday to come.. It’s time to do some serious reading.

wise I definitely didn’t get enough time this week. I tried, but time just went
by so fast. Hopefully I will be able to catch up on my reading this Monday.

wise I had a nice week. I shared some reviews, and I shared my list of Books I Really Need To Read ASAP. I didn’t get to visit all of you guys this week, but
I’ll keep trying this week.

Sounds like a busy week! Hope you get more reading in this week. And sorry to hear about the lovebird… it's hard to make decisions like that but sometimes it's for the best.
Age of Assassins looks good!
So far I haven't been able to read much this week! But it's only Tuesday and I'm free this weekend. So I'm staying hopeful! 😉
I'm excited to start reading 'Age of Assassins'.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I am glad your walls turned out ok even after your night shift lol I will check out your post on books you need to read ASAP. Hope you have a great week.
Whaha.. Me too. I was a little afraid it would end up being the wrong color or something. That would definitely be something for me after a nightshift! LOL!
Thanks for visiting! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!
You're a nurse and a blogger? That's impressive. How do you manage your time?
Have a great week!
Yes, that's me! Well.. Honestly, sometimes I don't manage all that good. What helps is that I'm a planner and don't watch that much TV. So I work, go home, cook, do some homework, blog and go to sleep! And the next day I'll do it again! 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!
I'm sorry you had a part with your little lovebird. Painting is such a huge task. I can't believe you took that on after work! 🙂
Thanks Jennifer! I'm sorry too, but I know it's for the best.
It wasn't my best decision to do that after the nightshift. LOL!! But thankfully it worked out great.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Sounds like you've been busy! I'm actually amazed at how much my cat can dirty up my walls! There are lots of little feet prints just under all my windowsills!
Have a great week! 🙂

Whaha really? Yes animals can definitely make a mess of our home. Don't even start talking about all the hairs?! Sigh..
Have a great week and happy reading!
Hi Maureen! Your painting attire is so hipster, you look awesome 😀 yeah, painting can be a tough job! Especially handling the smell.
Whaha thanks Evelina! I didn't really notice the smell. I did notice paint everywhere.. On my hands, in my hair, on my classes.. I repeat: everywhere!! LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Night shifts sounds tough! That is nice you got to paint your walls even though some landed on the floor as well. That's sad you had to send your bird to a new home, but it does sound like the right decision, I hope you have more time to read next week and a have a great week!
I definitely think it was the best decision. But it's still hard!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Girl, I've been there and I understand. I worked graveyard for six months and I never want to do it again! WE're just about to start painting our master bathroom and I'm really excited to see the change! Hope you have another great week of reading and blogging!
Crystal Book Snob
It's definitely very hard at times. Especially when it's nice outside and I have to sleep. Blegh..
I hope you master bathroom turns out great! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!
I'm so sorry to hear about the love bird but sometimes we have to make difficult decisions. Glad you managed to paint the walls but woe, it sounds like a huge job! I don't think I could have tackled it after so little sleep and so much work!
Hope you get to catch up on your reading and blogging! Have a great week!
Thanks Di! It was definitely a hard decision.. but the longer he is away the more I think it was for the best.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Night shifts are hard anyway, and you painted. Good for you!!! Glad it turned out good. Sorry bout your lovebird. Hope you have a great week.

Whaha.. Yes it definitely wasn't my best choice to start painting after so little sleep. But it worked out great thankfully!
Have a great week and happy reading!
I had lunch on Tuesday with my (work) BFF too! What color did you pick for the walls? I'm sorry to hear about giving up your lovebird. It must have been a very difficult decision. I don't think I could have tackled painting an entire wall after a full day of work! Go you!
Awesome! I hope your lunch was also good and tasty! 😉
We just have white walls. Our furniture is black and white, and we've added some red pillows and paintings.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I am sorry you had to rehome your bird, but you made the right decision. I will be back for your children's book post. I love hearing about what people love to read when they were young. I hope you are having a wonderful week. 🙂
Thanks. I'm feeling more and more confident that we made the right decision!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week and happy reading!
