This has been another busy week with going to the dentist, getting my COVID vaccine and other appointments I wanted to get done before I’ll have to go back to work. With these things done, we can enjoy our final week of my maternity leave next week. My husband will also be free so we are doing some fun stuff with our two babies, including a little lunch date with just the two of us since both our kids will be at daycare for a few hours on Thursday. We haven’t done something with just the two of us for almost a year.. So it’s necessary and exciting.
I’ve been spending more time on my Instagram and Twitter accounts these last few weeks and I’m enjoying getting to know more bookish people. I love finding out about all these new books people are reading. I don’t really need to add on my TBR.. But I sure do love adding to it. LOL!
This week I also got approved for some very exciting new books and I can’t wait to read them all. Who needs sleep right?
Next week I’ll be doing a giveaway to thank you guys for sticking with me these last few months while I was on maternity leave. I’m so lucky to have this book loving community to talk too and share things with and I really appreciate you all. So keep an eye out on my blog and social media accounts next week.
What have you been up to this week? And what have you been reading?
- Review ‘Beautifully Broken Pieces’ by Catherine Cowles
- End of Leave Giveaway
- Review ‘The Jasmine Throne’ by Tasha Suri

That’s nice that you’ll be able to enjoy your last week of leave! I hope you guys have a great one. And that your new books are all good too. 🙂
Thanks Greg.
I hope you will enjoy your lunch date with your husband and all your new books, Maureen 😊 I’m afraid I didn’t get up to much due to work, fatigue and stress this week, except a lot of comfort TV watching! 📺 Take care and happy reading in the coming week. 🙂
Thank you Jessica. I’m sorry to read you haven’t had the best of weeks. I hope you’ve been able to get some rest 😉
Happy reading.

Just followed you on Twitter! Glad you have a fun week planned as your maternity leave ends!
Thank you Victoria 😉
Sounds like a busy week! And I can’t believe your maternity leave is almost over – it seems like it has gone by so fast!
It’s crazy right? I know it has been 6 months since I last had to go to work.. but it feels more like half of that to be honest.
Happy reading.
I am glad you were able to get your vaccine before you go back to work.
Enjoy your week with your family and your new books (they all look so good!)!
Thanks Wendy.
I’m glad you are able to get things taken care of and have some nice times before you go back to work. I felt like I went pretty wild with ARCs this week. Enjoy your break and take care of yourself!

Ooh, The Jasmine Throne! I’m eager to read that one from what I’ve heard so far.
My weekly roundup post.
I was so excited when I got approved to read this one 😀
Happy reading.
Oh many books I didn’t know about. Have a lovely week and happy reading!
Thanks Melliane. Happy reading.
That’s awesome you got to do some things without the kiddos! My husband and I go on “date night” (dinner) every friday and leave our son with his grandmas. It’s so necessary. Especially for me since I’m a stay-at-home mom. I need a mental break from being mom for an hour or 2 sometimes hahaha Have a great week!
LOL! I totally get that! And how awesome that you have the option to leave you son at his grandmas. Unfortunately we don’t really have that option.. So we don’t get to do things together as much as we probably should. But we are definitely trying 😉
Happy reading.
