Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to
share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and
things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog
for the week ahead.
This week I had a week off from work. As I imagined these
free days went by extremely fast and I can’t believe I have to start work again
on Tuesday. It seemed like only yesterday when I wrote the last Sunday Post at
the beginning of my vacation and now a whole week has already gone by. And what
a fun and interesting week it was.
fun afternoon catching up, watching episodes of ‘Arrow’ and making very tasty
panini’s with chicken and pesto. We had a great time and the episodes of ‘Arrow’
really were entertaining. I only saw one or two episodes when the show aired a view
years ago, but I never got to see it further.. So far I really like it.
don’t really like to celebrate our birthdays, but always do something fun
together. This time, while my man had to work, I made a three course dinner and
decorated the house a little bit. When he came home from work, I had some presents
ready and we enjoyed a delicious and fun dinner. Looks good right??
so I had an amazing reading and blogging day. I cleaned my reading ‘spot’, took
my blanket and a cup of tea and just read for hours. Sigh.. I love these kinds
of days.
didn’t really go as planned. I read till around 1 p.m. and then I had to take
my man’s grandfather to the ER. He needed to have a blood transfusion but the
doctors wanted to check everything again so we sat and waited there until 6.30 p.m.
before he was finally admitted. At the time I finally came home it was almost
7.45 and I was super tired and hungry. (Grandpa is already back home again!!
:D)
Amsterdam because we wanted to see one of the exhibitions called ‘Spanish Masters from the Hermitage‘.
Of course we also visited some bookshops and had a great lunch. I bought ‘Lady Midnight’
which I really wanted since I love Cassandra Clare. And I also bought my very
first coloring book. I’m super excited about it because I wanted one for a very
long time and it’s supposed to be very relaxing. I’m definitely going to try it
out ASAP.
man loves cars and we really needed a day with just the two of us. And a little
road trip was definitely what we needed!!
really necessary and wanted. And although I desperately wish I could have had a view more free days it definitely was a successful week.
coloring book? What are your thoughts about it?

That food looks amazing! Happy Easter! Have a great week and happy reading!
Laura @ http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-lives.blogspot.co.uk
Thank you Laura. It tasted also really good 😉
That food looks so yummy! I'm enjoying the coloring books right now. In fact, instead of actually making hard boiled eggs to color, I'm coloring in an Easter coloring book and picking the pages with pictures of colored eggs.
Check out my Sunday Post
That's a great idea Lisa. I really enjoy the coloring book so far. I think it will be a great way for me to relax after work.
Happy reading 😉
Sorry to hear about your man's grandpa 🙁
but glad to hear that other than that your week off was fun and interesting 🙂
Chicken and pesto paninis! yummm. Your man is lucky 😉
but.. nothing like a "blogging day" like Wednesday right? 🙂
I'm curious to see what you think of ‘Lady Midnight’ because I kinda gave up on Clare.
Those blogging days are the best. I wish I could have more days like that! 😉
I'm really curious about what I think about 'Lady Midnight' too.. I loved the other books by Cassandra Clare so I hope I love this one too.
Thanks for stopping by!
Except for the ER visit (glad he's back home again) it sounds like a perfect week. 🙂 I'm also not into big birthday celebrations. As long as I don't have to cook and there's cake or nommies of some kind I'm good. Presents are a definite plus though. lol
LOL!! Presents are always good so we do a lot of them, and not so much of the celebrating! 😉
It definitely was a great week.
Happy Reading!
I got Hope and Red too, it is such a nice big book I can't wait to get stuck in!
I have a mild addiction to colouring books and I love it, when I feel in need of a relax I get one out! My husband thinks I am off my head for colouring!
Have a good week and enjoy Lady Midnight, I only got three books in with the City of…. books, one day I will finish them!
I can't wait either. It also sounds like a great read.
So far I really enjoy the coloring book. It's definitely a lot of fun. I'm glad you like it too 😉
Have a great week!
That food looks great! Sounds like you had a very eventful week! Glad grandpa is home and (hopefully) doing well! Enjoy your week 🙂
Here is my Sunday Post
Molly @ Molly's Book Nook
Thanks. I had a lot of fun making it. Grandpa is definitely doing okay again! 😉
Thanks for stopping by!
What a busy week! And that food looks absolutely delicious! I hope you had a great Easter!
Thanks Charlie. Our Easter was nice and quiet. Just the way we like it.
Happy reading and I hope you also had a great Easter.
Wait a minute, you MADE the food in those pictures?! It looks like something from a professional, fancy restaurant! I couldn't make anything that delicious-looking if you paid me lol.
It sounds like you had a pretty nice, relaxing week! Aside from the ER incident that is, but I'm glad to hear your grandpa is ok. Enjoy your new book and coloring book 🙂
LOL!! Thanks Kristen.. I love cooking and always try to make something special on my boyfriends birthday. It was delicious too! 😉
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
Sounds like a fab week apart from the er visit! Glad that worked out ok. The dinner looks delicious and your reading/blogging day sounds like bliss. I need to organise one of those for myself someday soon 🙂 My idea of heaven!
Those days are definitely the best. I wish these days could happen much more often. Thanks for stopping by 😉
I hope going back to work wasn't too hard. It always is though after a vacation, isn't it? Sounds like you had a very nice vacation, except for the visit to the emergency room. I am glad to hear Grandpa is doing better. I've seen the first couple seasons of Arrow and liked it too. 🙂
It's been such a busy week. I am looking forward to having tomorrow off, and hopefully spending a little time on my blog. The house needs a good cleaning too. :-S
Have a great rest of the week!
It really was so hard getting back to work. I felt like I needed some vacation again because I was just so tired. Silly really. I hope your day off is good and that you were able to spend it blogging 😉
Happy Reading!
