Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ Itโs a chance to
share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and
things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog
for the week ahead.
This week was very busy with work again. I honestly donโt
know how people are able to work fulltime and have this huge active life next
to it. After work Iโm mostly so tired I donโt even have the strength to put on
the computer. Itโs very good for my reading time though. Unfortunately I also fell
asleep while reading this week.. I hate when that happens. In the end I fell behind on my reading schedule, which I intend to make up this weekend. I had to
reschedule my reviews a little but Iโm determined to catch up.
wife Ensaf Haidar. My review will follow this week. What a story.. It really
shook me to my core. I realize even more how privileged I am to be able to do
what I want and say what I want. If you havenโt heard about Raif Badawiโs story,
you definitely need to visit his website. Raif Badawi is a Saudi Arabian writer
and activist and the creator of the website Free Saudi Liberals who was
arrested in 2012 on a charge of insulting Islam through electronic channels. He
is sentenced to 1000 lashes and ten years in prison. What kind of world do we
life in??
three course dinner with Beef Wellington and a Toblerone cake. It was all very tasty and we had a great day.

Yeah after a day of work reading is a great way to fall asleep lol. I hear ya there. Hope this week is a little calmer. That's crazy about the sentence given to – unbelievable. It does make us appreciate our freedom I guess- and it's ridiculous people have to live like that.
You looks like a good thriller.
It definitely makes you appreciate what we have. This world is crazy at times.
I read some great reviews about 'You' so I can't wait to start reading!!
Thanks for stopping by Greg! Happy reading.
I had a slow reading week too because I've been so tired that I just can't concentrate, so don't feel too bad about it. Happens to the best of us ๐ But that info about Raif Badawi… wow. That's terrible. I try my best to be appreciative of things, but I really do take my freedom of speech for granted.
Maybe it was something in the weather then! ๐ LOL!! I'm in desperate need for the summer.
I think most of us here in the Western world do than our freedom of speech for granted. It's definitely good to think about all we have sometimes.
Happy Reading ๐
You're right Maureen, we are very lucky and I know I take that for granted!
The day of cooking with your mother sounds great and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I've just finished The Obsession so hope you enjoy it!
The cooking really was great Deborah! We made Toblerone Chocolate pie.. and it tasted like heaven.
I can't wait to start reading 'The Obsession'.. I love Nora Roberts. ๐
The Beef Wellington sounds wonderful….and a day with your mom, too.
I can't wait to get The Obsession….and hope you enjoy all of your new books…and your new week. Thanks for visiting my blog.
It really was wonderful. The Beef Wellington tasted soooo good.
Thanks for stopping by ๐
The Obsession was so good..enjoy. We truly are blessed and stories like Raif Badawi's show just how much. Love the idea of spending day cooking with Mom. Hope this week is a good one!
I can't wait to start reading it. I looooooove Nora Roberts.
Stories like Raif Badawi really do make you appreciate the things you have.
Happy Reading ๐
I hadn't heard of Raif Badawi but I'm now fascinated. What a terrible story. A cooking day sounds like a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to The Obsession. I've been on a Nora Roberts kick lately and that looks like a good one. Have a great week!
It really was a story I'll never forget. I was, and still am, shocked about how horrible people can be.
Thanks for stopping by and happy reading ๐
Nora's new book looks good. I'm also exhausted when I get home from work. I have a very physical job. The good thing is, it helps keep me in better shape. Otherwise I'd be a couch potato. LOL
My Sunday Post
It really does right?! I can't wait to start reading. I just love Nora Roberts. ๐

Molly @ Molly's Book Nook
You really should.. It was such a touching story. And it made me realize even more how lucky I am and that I really should appreciate it more.
Why does real life interferes with important stuff like reading and blogging??? Ugh
I'm off nowto check Raif's website. I did sign a petition for him in change.org thanks for sharing!
Ugh.. I know.. I hate it when life gets in the way of reading and blogging. ๐
Have a great week and happy reading!
Just found your blog – looking forward to following you!
Thanks Lisa. I hope you like Maureen's Books! ๐

You got YOU!!! You have to read it (and find the audio!! You don't regret it!). I love Nora Roberts but haven't read any new books by her yet. I need to fix this asap.
Yes I did!! I just couldn't resist after reading all those great reviews. I can't wait to start reading it.
You definitely need to start Nora's latest books.. They are great! ๐
What an interesting story! I'll have to look more into his life. Ohhh and You is soooo good! Have a great week.
I can't wait to start reading 'You'. I heard so many great things about it.
Happy reading ๐
I miss my mom's cooking! So nice to have a Mom
's Cooking Day! Enjoy the new books!
Thank you. Mom's really are the best. ๐
Have a great week and happy reading!
I don't know how people do it either. I'm always so exhausted when I come home from work. I always have the best intentions, but so little ends up actually getting done.
I am not familiar with Ensaf Haidar and her husband, but it sounds like a very important story to read. I will have to look into it.
I hope you have a great week!
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I was afraid I was already getting old at twenty six! LOL!
It definitely is an important story I'll never forget.
Thanks for stopping by and happy reading! ๐
