This week I have been feeling like an old lady. Yep.. I
know Iโm just 26, but this week I sure as hell didnโt feel like it. I have been
having these headaches and my neck has been killing me. So the first two days
of this week, although I had to work, Iโve been taking it easy. At least as
easy as I can do things. Iโm not very good in doing thinks slow.. But I
definitely tried.

On Wednesday we had our national holiday called Kingโs day.
On April 27th we celebrate our Kingโs birthday through music, many
street parties, flea markets and all sorts of fun things. I always love this
day because me and my boyfriend spend the day outside in our town listening and
dancing to the music, celebrating with colleagues and friends and we eat all
kinds of bad things. Fries, hamburgers etc. Itโs really a fun day. The King
himself visits another city each year with his family and takes part in the
events the city organized. Itโs really a great day and one of my favorite
holidays.

Unfortunately this year the weather was really bad. Itโs
was raining, there was a lot of wind and it was really cold. But we still
managed to visit our town and walk around for a little while. Normally we would
be outside till late at night, but this year, around 3 p.m. we were so cold we
went home and watched the King on the television. It was still a fun day.

Thursday I had to work the evening shift. Thankfully my
neck was feeling a little better and I could do my job without having a lot of
pain.

Friday it was time to rest before I had to work the
nightshift again. Three nightshifts this time. And no.. Itโs not normal that I
have to work nightshifts again after just getting out of them two weeks ago.
But after these three I wonโt be having nightshifts for a while, so Iโm okay
with it.

Due to the nightshifts my weekend was slow. Saturday I
worked on preparing my posts for the Blog
Ahead (mini) challenge that starts today. Check out my post to see my goal

So thatโs it for me this week.. Reading wise I didnโt get
to read as much as I wanted since I was a little cranky about my headache and
neck pains. I hope it will keep getting better this upcoming week.

King's Day sounds fun, and I always like street food and all that. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate this year! It does sound like a cool holiday tho.
Have a great week, hope the neck pain subsides. ๐
It definitely is a great holiday! One of my favorites ๐
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Reading!
King's Day sounds like a lot of fun! Sorry it was raining – it's been raining a lot here too, which is weird as Nevada is a desert lol!

Ow.. That sounds weird! LOL!! Well.. To be honest, it's always raining a lot here. But it still sucks. ๐
Happy Reading!
King's Day sounds like so much fun! That's too bad that the weather messed it up this year :-/ And sorry about the headaches and night shifts, but at least you won't have to work them again for a while, so that's a plus. Good luck on your Blog Ahead challenge ๐
That's definitely a plus. I can't wait for tommorow morning and I'm done with those nightshifts.
Kingsday really is a lot of fun. Especially because every one is outside and celebrating.
Thanks for stopping by ๐
King's Day sounds fantastic, Maureen ๐ and even if the weather wasn't good, it sounds like you had a fun day.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

WOW King's birthday sounds like fun. A big deal! well… it's THE KING! ๐ sounds like you and BF had a blast misbehaving [all those sinful hamburgers fries ๐ ]
I'm doing the Blog Ahead (mini) challenge too! that starts today. Good luck! I'll be checking the updates ๐
These head and neck aches really do suck. But slowly on I'm beginning to feel better. ๐
We always have fun misbehaving!! LOL!!
Thanks for stopping by and good luck with Blog Ahead!!
I know all too well about the aches! I hope you get to feeling better soon, rather than later! Sounds like you had a blast with the bf! Hope you have a fantastic week & happy reading!

Thanks.. I'm feeling a little better every day.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Reading! ๐
Really sorry to hear about the neck ache – I'm probably teaching you to suck eggs as you're a nurse, but when I used to get sore necks, I used to roll up a bath towel lengthways, wrap it around my neck and cross over the long roll at the front, tucking the ends under my arms while TV watching, or sitting at the computer. I just gave my neck extra support and eased the pain somewhat. King's Day sounds like a lot of fun – we're celebrating our Queen's 90th birthday this year, but I think it sounds as if you are more organised:). Have a great week and I hope the neck improves really quickly.
I can definitely use every help I can get! Thanks for the tip. ๐
The Queen's 90th birthday definitely also sounds fun. We are seeing a lot of pictures here of her and her family. Love those pictures!!
Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
Mother Nature is really messing everything up this year! Grrr! I hope your neck is back to normal. Neck and back pain really suck. Yay for no more nightshifts for awhile. I hope you have a wonderful week!
Mother Nature really is confused lately. Sigh..
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week and Happy Reading!
Oh, I love the idea of King's Day. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I'd been born in a country with royals running things. It sounds awesome!
I fight allergies and sinus headaches a lot lately, and even though I'm finally on medication, it doesn't help much.
Speaking of feeling like an old lady…I guess I should feel like that a lot, too, because I am kind of old…LOL. But mostly I don't think of myself as old. Funny, right?
Enjoy your week…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Well.. to be honest.. Most days we don't get to see and hear a lot about the King. But a view days a year we do and I just love it. It just feels kind of special to me.
Sorry to hear your allergies and headaches aren't getting better. I hope that changes soon! ๐
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
King's Day sound like fun. So days we all feel older than our age. I hope this week has you feeling err…21 again!!
LOL!! I hope so too! ๐ Thanks for stopping by and Happy Reading!
I am sorry to hear about your headaches and neck, I hope you'll feel better soon! For me King's day was just like any other day, I stayed home and worked. Some years we do go out and visit a flea market close by when we feel like it, it can be fun. I am glad to hear you had a great day.
Good luck with Blog Ahead! I am participating as well :). I hope you'll have a great week!
Thanks Lola!!
I think a lot of people stayed home with Kingsday this year.. Man it was cold!!
Good luck with Blog Ahead too. Have a great week ๐
I'm twenty years older than you but have been experiencing a heap of aches and pains lately as well…. so kinda understand! ๐
Kings Day sounds like a great holiday! Very celebratory!
That sucks Deborah. I hope your aches and pains also get better soon ๐
Happy Reading!
King's Day sounds really fun! I hope you feel yourself again soon. We all suffer those aches and pains once in a while. Mine is my back at the moment. It seems like everyone is getting rained on this week. Hopefully the April Showers will move on now:)
My Sunday Post
Maybe we all have pains because of the rain.. I'm soooo needing the sun right now! Hope your back also gets better soon!;)
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
King's Day sounds like so much fun but what a pity the weather didn't cooperate. I'm so much older than you that I'm more used to to aches and pains! But they are always a nuisance and just seem to get more random and even more annoying as the years pass!
Hope you feel better soon. Can't wait for your day in the life a nurse post, I'd say that will be eye opening for me. I can't even imagine how you cope with night shifts.
King's Day really is a great day. But it was freezing cold!! Brrrr..
Thanks.. I hope you like my post of 'A Day in the Life of a Nurse'. It's up now and it was really fun to write.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
I hope you plan on reviewing The Feel Good Plan! I want to hear more about it. Have a good week!
I'll definitely review 'The Feel Good Plan'. ๐
Thanks for visiting and Happy Reading!
