The lone wolf answers to no alpha or pack. From his first transformation, he knows his destiny: to be both judge and executioner for rogue werewolves.

White wolf Devlin Moore has spent nearly the last century following his destiny: hunting rogue werewolves. His fate is to be the only one of his kind—hardened, feared, and brutally ruthless. Only now, Devlin’s not alone. There are two others. And if that wasn’t unsettling enough, Devlin is drawn to New York City for what appears to be a human…

As far as Devlin can tell, vibrant artist Zoe Galvani is no threat. But there’s something about her— from her unusual eyes that look similar to the same shocking hue as his own, to his growing need to mark her as his that suggests magical forces may be at play.

Now there’s no escaping each other, or the attraction that grows stronger by the second. But no one, especially a human woman, should have this effect on a lone wolf. And just when he’s sure that having her could be his undoing…the truth steps out of the shadows.

I’ve read a few books by N.J. Walters in the last few years and I’ve really enjoyed them. So when I got the request to read and review ‘Taming The White Wolf’, the first book in a brand new paranormal romance series, I was super excited and started reading as soon as I could.

In ‘Taming The White Wolf’ we meet Zoe Galvani. Zoe is used to being alone after her parents died when she was young, and living in foster care for years. Now Zoe is living in a small apartment, which she is very proud of. She has a job which she loves and although she doesn’t have a lot of money, she makes do. But Zoe is also very good in keeping people at a distance. One evening, when she isn’t paying attention, Devlin Moore saves her from walking under a driving car. And from the moment Zoe and Devlin meet they both feel this intense connection.

Devlin is a white wolf, and for the last century he has lived his fate of hunting roque werewolves. He is a great in what he does and makes his life alone work. But when Devlin is suddenly drawn to New York City, and specifically to Zoe, a human, he is confused and suspicious. And above all he is unable to leave Zoe behind. Especially when someone is coming after her and her life is in danger.

N.J. Walters has a way of writing that immediately pulls you into the story. No slow introductions, or a lot of character development. And although this can easily be confusing or a bit to much, in N.J. Walters books I always seem to enjoy the fast pace. And from the start I definitely enjoyed this book.

‘Taming The White Wolf’ is a new world, and between everything that is happening with the two main characters we learn a bit more about the setting and the creatures that life there. I loved the paranormal aspect of the Wolves. Wolves always have this mystical feeling to them in my opinion and I enjoyed reading about Devlin and his white wolf. Despite the fast pace of the story I understood Devlin’s story and I loved how he found Zoe after many years of being alone.

The romance between Devlin and Zoe was very fun and I definitely enjoyed reading about their strong connection. Sure they moved pretty damn quickly for two people with trust issues.. but who cares when they have such chemistry?! I could have easily read a lot more about these two. And I’m really curious about the other two wolves that share Devlin’s fate.

‘Taming The White Wolf’ was a very fun and entertaining read. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

About N.J. Walters

Once upon a time N.J. had the idea that she would like to quit her job at the bookstore, sell everything she owned, leave her hometown, and write romance novels in a place where no one knew her. And she did. Two years later, she went back to the bookstore and her hometown and settled in for another seven years.

One day she gave notice at her job on a Friday morning. On Sunday afternoon, she received a tentative acceptance for her first erotic romance novel and life would never be the same.

N.J. Walters is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who has always been a voracious reader, and now she spends her days writing novels of her own. Vampires, werewolves, dragons, time-travelers, seductive handymen, and next-door neighbors with smoldering good looks—all vie for her attention. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to live it.
