April Collins is freaking out. She completely embarrassed
herself in front of the most crushable guy in school. There’s no way she’s
returning to school, like, EVER. Why can’t she be pretty, popular and perfect
like Layla Hart? Layla is a phony online profile – that is, until April wakes
up as her! Will popularity prove as easy as it seems? And what happens when
April’s crush finally notices her…as Layla?
My Review:
Layla Hart’. Since this book sounded different and interesting I decided to
give it a try.
her life is over after she had a humiliating experience right in front of the
boy she had a crush one. After this experience April is desperate to be
somebody else or move to another country. Together with her best friend Sophia,
April makes a social media profile of the perfect girl, Layla Hart. This is a
girl who looks beautiful, has perfect parents and a perfect life. But what
April didn’t expect was waking up the next day as Layla Hart. April is stunned
to realize she became the girl she invented and now all she can do is go on
with her life as a totally different person.
read recently. The main character April is fifteen years old and just had an awful
experience in front of the boy she likes. Like many fifteen year old, she thinks
her life is over after what happened. This results in her waking up one day as
a completely different person, a beautiful girl she invented with her best
friend.
book I was reminded of my early teen years when everything felt like it could
be the end of the world. This book was fun to read and the writing was easy to
follow. I enjoyed the adventures of April as Layla. But most of all I enjoyed
reading about the friendship between April and her best friend Sophia. This was
definitely a friendship I could be jealous about. April and Sophia shared
everything and they were always there for each other.
real life. She enjoyed reading and was very serious about her school work. April
had some privileges in her school library because she was so fond of reading
and I could definitely relate to her. April reacted to her parents’ divorce
like most teens would. Her dad had this new girlfriend and moved far way, and
April felt like her dad’s girlfriend was the one to blame for her parents’
divorce. Although April loves her mom and their new home, she feels like things
have to chance. She feels too old for the my little pony curtains in her room,
and since her body doesn’t seem to develop as much as her classmates, she just
wants to be another person. I think this is definitely something everyone could
relate to at least once in their lives.
easy to follow. I do think I would have liked this book much more if I read it
as a teenager. Somethings just felt a little childish and I couldn’t relate to
everything the way I think I would as a teenager.
looking for a fun read.

About the Author:
play to dress ups and not so surprisingly, she always showed off a variety of
different fashion looks for any occasion! As she grew older, Amanda became
drawn to the glamorous world of the theatre where she was excited to find that
playing dress ups was just an everyday occurrence. After several years in show
business, Amanda arrived back at school as a Drama teacher. With such a
theatrical background, the idea of “stepping into someone else’s
shoes” grabbed her attention and she just had to explore it in her novel,
