Nash Hartley has always been my everything: Protector. Partner in crime. Best friend. The person who was there for me in my darkest hour.

But my heart wanted so much more. So, when I knew for certain Nash didn’t feel the same about me, I tried to move on. What a mistake that turned out to be.

Now, I’m back in our small town, desperate to escape my living nightmare, and the only person I want to see is him.
As secrets are revealed, and Nash finds out what happened to me, he’ll do anything to keep me safe.

But there are those who will do anything to stop him, and this time neither of us may make out alive…

Catherine Cowles is one of those authors I just love every single book from. She has a way of writing that pulls you right in and makes you want to keep on reading. So being on her ARC team has been such a joy for me. And even though I have been reading her books for a while now, I still get so damn exited when one of her ARC’s arrives on my kindle. And ‘Echoes of You’ was a book that I couldn’t wait to start reading!

‘Echoes of You’ is book two in the Lost & Found series, but can easily be read as a standalone. In this book we read the story of Maddie and Nash. They met in kindergarten many years ago and have always been extremely close. Maddie’s parents are the worst kind of people, and the only way she survived growing up there was being able to escape and go to Nash. Nash has grown up in a love filled home, so taking care of Maddie seemed natural and he has always been protective of her.

But Maddie has always felt more for Nash than only a friendship. After many years of hoping he would start feeling the same, it was time for her to try and move on. They kept in touch, even though Maddie moved away, but slowly on they started to grow apart. Something that broke both of them. That is until one day Maddie moves back to their small town, without Nash knowing about it.

‘Echoes of You’ was a book that pulled me in right from the start. Nash and Maddie have been close friends for many many years, and you can sense their intense connection right away. I loved that! And before I knew it I was devouring every single page of this book. Nash and Maddie are two very different characters, but they where so loveable. And honestly, you could easily feel their love for each other.

The romance between Nash and Maddie was a slow-burn one for sure. And although I wish they would have started acting on their true feelings a lot earlier, I’m talking years,  the friendship element in their relationship was just so beautiful it made me want to cry. I loved everything about these two.

Another fun part for me was the relationship between Nash and his family. Yes, we read a bit about the two main characters in the first book, but we also read more about his other siblings, and I can’t wait to read their stories as well. Reading this book definitely makes you wish for siblings. And the setting in the small town of Cedar Ridge fitted perfectly.

And last but not least the suspense.. Catherine Cowles definitely knows how to grab your attention and keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. It was perfect! ‘Echoes of You’ was without a doubt another 5 star read for me.
