When I started reading the ‘The Ones Who Got Away’ Series in January of 2018 I was immediately hooked and loved everything about this series. So with every book that came out, I began loving Roni Loren’s writing more and more and I simple couldn’t get enough of this series and the characters. So when I saw that the fourth book in the series ‘The One For You’ was coming out I couldn’t resist and requested a review copy. And luckily for me I got it!
In ‘The One For You’ we meet Kincaid Breslin. Kincaid is the girl who always does everything for her friends and family. Including being a little matchmaker. And now her best friends all have a great guy, she is faced with remembering the two guys she loved and lost all those years ago. But when one of those guys, her best friend Ashton comes back to the town they grew up in, Kincaid is both shocked and excited to see him again.
Just as with the previous books in this series, ‘The One For You’ easily grabbed my attention and kept me hooked from the first to the very last page. I just loved reading about Kincaid. Kincaid was this fun, sweet and flirty girl who thought she wasn’t made for love. Just hook-ups without any complications. Her character is so different than me, that I was fascinated by her actions and thoughts. I loved getting to know her.
But my definite favorite character was Ashton. I mean WOW!! A handsome guy, who is a writer, a reader and kind of a loner?! Yep, I liked him and was rooting for him from the beginning of this story until the very end. He was just a character I would love in real-life too. And I definitely became his number one fan. LOL!
Throughout this book there were several flashbacks to years ago when tragedy struck the senior class of Long Acre High School, a.k.a. Kincaid and Ashton’s senior year. And although those flashbacks made me sad, it fitted the story and was done in a great way.
Yes, ‘The One For You’ was a romantic, fun and emotional read that definitely gave me all the feelings! I simple loved it and would recommend it to every romance reader out there.
